J is for Jeep Brand North Star Stroller: best low priced range

Established in 1941, the Jeep brand has been a symbol of freedom and expression. This year, the Jeep brand has introduced quite a line-up for us. Honestly, if I could include all of them, I would as they all have pretty nifty features for a good price deal. All of them really gave me a hard time deciding what makes them stand out better than the rest available in the market.

But for a low price range, the J is the Jeep Brand North Star is the sure winner for the spot. North Star is the perfect stroller for the family who loves the outdoors. Aside from its affordability, it is comfortable, convenient and safe to use.

North Star has all basic essentials covered. It includes a removable carry-all parent organizer which hangs from the back, an extra-large extendable canopy with sun visor to protect your child from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun and a three-point safety harness that goes around the waist and the crotch that meet in the middle.

Its cup holder is actually large enough for your regular Starbucks cup. However, the storage basket is rather shallow so don’t expect too much out of it. But it’s still better to have one than none at all to put some of yours and your baby’s stuff. Its front wheels swivel and feature a suspension system that gives outstanding control of the wheels.

The padded seat can be rolled up into a comfortable headrest and exposes a mesh back which allows better airflow perfect for the summer walks. Aside from the comfy padded seat, a child can travel for long hours comfortably with the help of its calf support and footrest. This stroller can carry a maximum weight recommendation of 40 pounds and is advisable for a child who has developed enough upper body control to sit.

And in order to keep the cost to a minimum to be able to sell it at a lower price, North Star had to compromise and removed the reclining function. It’s a bit of a let down really but that is the only drawback it has. Fortunately the seat is already at slightly reclined position, to keep your baby comfortable and prevent him or her from bending forward. Your child’s safety is still the priority.

What’s more to love about North Star is its ability for a quick and compact fold and unfold for storage. It has good handle height so you won’t get any sore backs from having to keep bending forward just to push this thing. Top of it all, this sleek stroller is ultra light, weighing for just about 10 pounds!

It’s totally going to be your best travel buddy. You will not have a hard time bringing it or carrying it wherever you go. Its easy grip and extra-long foam handles makes it really easy to keep hold of the stroller.

As a newcomer, it already gotten popular and even received a high rating of 4.2 stars out of 5. For just under $50, you can already take this baby home with free shipping from a trusted seller via Amazon. J is for Jeep Brand North Star Stroller is a well-featured stroller for parents on a tight budget. It not just a stand out for this year but a total package to be one of the best cheap umbrella strollers of all time!

North Star is meant for life’s little adventurers. Prepared or not for a spur-of-the-moment outdoor activity, North Star keeps you on the go for whatever adventure coming your way.

If this finds you interesting, you ought to check its bigger brothers as well namely the Scout AL Sport and Atlas AL. Both are improved versions of this one and packs more features for a great value for your money.

You’ll have better return of investment with it as you can expect it to stick around for a while as it grows with your little angel.

It also has a 5 point safety harness to keep your baby in place but without sacrificing comfort. The crotch and shoulder straps have thin padding so it doesn’t feel rough to touch to your baby; while the seat itself is also well-cushioned. While its canopy with extended visor is also large enough to provide proper coverage for your little one against too much harmful rays from the sun and other elements.

Aside from its functionalities, it boasts a versatile design that not only looks sleek but is also highly convenient to use. You can also fold this with just one hand and have your other hand free for your baby. Summer Infant 3Dtote Convenience Stoller: best under $150 budget

When it comes to Summer Infant, we’re always on our toes and anticipate what they have in store for us. They never miss to keep us in awe for their new offering of strollers every year! From their hit stroller, the 3Dlite then 3D Zyre, now comes the 3Dtote! If you happen to love its older siblings, then you’ll totally fall in love for sure.

The Summer Infant 3Dtote Convenience Stroller is designed after the award-winning and best-selling stroller, 3Dlite, but packs with more improved features, comfort and performance. It is durable, fairly lightweight and made with a sturdy aluminum frame. Its expandable ‘snap up or snap down’ mesh storage basket is even 3 times larger than its predecessor, 3Dlite, and provides more storage space for your stuff. It is also decked out with a number of pockets, extra cup holders and toy loops. Now, you can bring those adventure essentials along without having to stress over how to carry them all.

Best bonding moments with family are created by engaging in outdoor activities together. From simple strolling to out-of-town trips, you’ll realize that there are just loads of important things to bring, especially having a baby along the trip; so the need for more storage in a stroller is necessary! To answer to that clamor, Summer Infant 3Dtote Convenience Stroller comes to your rescue. A stroller that can actually hold all the ESSENTIALS mom and child need. Its rear storage extension can be made bigger by simply snapping the basket up. It’s definitely one of the largest storage baskets I’ve seen so far. With all the available space you can put your stuff in, just make sure you don’t forget to bring them. You can fully enjoy your adventure with your little one with no worries!

When it comes to canopies, the 3Dtote is not far left behind. Its canopy is adjustable and large enough to protect your child’s sensitive skin. It also has a pop out sun visor for an extended protection from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays. It only lacks a SPF sunshade since its visor is only made with regular fabric. On the plus side, it has a peek-a-boo window to allow you to check your child regularly.

Its seat is attached with a 5-point safety harness with additional padding to keep your baby safe and comfortable throughout the ride. Best of all, the harness can easily adjusts to 3 height positions to adapt to your child’s growth. I always love a stroller that has a grow with your child feel as you actually get more of your money’s worth. This might just be the stroller you’ll ever need with your baby and have it around until child grows old enough not to need one!

Diapers are common sight when it comes to babies. So, the company designed a convenient way to accommodate diaper bags and shopping bags through built in clips. Your stroller will be saved from looking like a huge mess with all sorts of weights hanging from the front of the stroller, as the clips will secure your bags in place. The 3Dtote will not tip over easily and can accommodate a maximum hanging weight of 5 pounds.

3Dtote is designed with convenience in mind. As I mentioned earlier, it allows easy access to the large bottom basket. Plus, it has the ability to lay the seat nearly flat, to make napping and on-the-go diaper changes hassle-free. The seat also reclines in 3 positions to support the age and mood of your child for maximum comfort. You can recline the seat effortlessly using its one hand handle and adjust to the proper position you want. One missing convenience I noticed is the absence of a footrest, but not a deal breaker for me.

We want a smooth ride for baby, especially so as not to disturb his sleep. 3Dtote’s large and durable 6-inch wheels has easy glide bearings and front suspension for better shock absorption and rolls smoothly. All wheels are lockable and can stay in place even on trickier surfaces such as cobblestone. The front wheel can swivel while the rear wheels can easily be locked with just the tip of your shoe.

Summer Infant 3Dtote Convenience Stroller is recommended for babies from 6 months to 50 pounds. The 3Dtote allows you to travel with baby safely and with ease without compromising comfort. It wears an all black with few accents that looks modern and trendy that won’t get dirtied easily.

For not more than hundred thirty bucks, this may not be the lightest in the group but it has all the bells and whistles you’ll need and want in a stroller while get a bang for your buck! Hence, this is without a doubt the best umbrella strollers 2017 for the mid price rangeLike its siblings, the 3Dtote is a wonderful piece you should never miss out on.

JOOVY New Groove Ultralight Umbrella Stroller: best mid-price range

There’s a new groove in town you simply cannot miss! No, it’s not a new dance craze, but you’ll surely can’t stop dancing if you happen to own one of these far out strollers. I’m talking about the Joovy’s New Groove Ultralight strollers.

Joovy Groove Umbrella strollers have been around quite some time already, and it has been well-received ever since. It’s most well-known for its oversize canopy that even from afar, you can already tell it’s a Joovy. And this year, they got a revamp on their Groove and made it even better. Since we have featured the Joovy Groove version numerous times, it’s no surprise to see the revamp New Groove on our list of best umbrella strollers 2017.

Here comes a stroller which is not only newborn ready, but also for the big little ones, making the Joovy New Groove my best all around choice. This stroller has undergone several changes and enhancements, in their efforts to give the utmost comfort to our little ones. The new seat has a deeper recline and a bassinet mode such that newborns and children up to 55 lbs can sit and nap comfortably.

The seat is so nice that it is adequately padded with 5 point safety harness to keep your baby in place. Its multi-position recline can lay near-flat and easily adjust it with one hand even while the baby is occupying the seat, simply by pressing on the trigger found on each side of the recline clip. So you are ensured that your baby can sleep soundly without getting disturbed as you travel around the city or park for long hours. Now if you want to raise the seat back up, all you have to do is to pull the straps on the right and left of the clip. And you can also do that even while your little one is on the seat, pretty cool right?

Other notable features of the Groove Ultralight is its new, soft brushed water resistant fabric helps keep your child dry during light rains or when water is accidentally poured into its canopy. Worried on getting too much heat exposure from the sun? Don’t be! It’s well pretty obvious that with its oversize canopy gets your little kid covered and with its UPF 50 provides the utmost sun protection.

There’s also a peek-a-boo window that allows you to keep an eye on your child at all times. While for added convenience, you can find 2 cup holders in place where you can safely put your water bottle in one holder and a cup of coffee on the other. And as you all know, traveling with your baby means bringing loads of stuff and Joovy knows that too well. There’s the common bottom basket for the diaper bags, a zippered storage pocket to securely keep your keys, phone and other valuables, and 2 more mesh seat pockets make it easier to reach for bottles, snacks and toys.

New Groove Ultralight has upgraded wheels for more improved pushing and maneuvering through narrow aisles. While the 4-wheel suspension makes the ride less bumpier! Its footrest has wide coverage and can be adjusted to 2 positions to the comfort of your child.

I like how the New Groove sports a high quality water-repellent polyester fabric for stronger durability and easier to keep it clean due to better resistance against stain. While tall parents will love this for its tall ergonomic handles make pushing and turning stress-free. For my husband who is 6 feet tall can finally kiss goodbye to sore backs as he can easily operate the stroller without so much bending.

Now if you feel like going out for an after dinner stroll with your dearest child? The New Groove Ultralight makes a good companion, as it has safety reflectors that will illuminate at night and glows in the dark.

Despite carrying the name “Ultralight”, the New Groove isn’t exactly the lightest in the market or even on this list. And it is noticeably a bit bulkier, so carrying this around for long periods straight, even with a shoulder strap, can get quite tedious. Regardless, the New Groove still folds down to manageable size. Plus I feel that the extra weight and bulkiness is most likely due to its tougher construction and more features to showcase.

Its folding and auto lock mechanism works wonderful. It folds up and down nicely that can even stay standing on its own while folded. And if you ever feel like making an investment, this is a good start since this can accommodate newborns and with proper care, can last until your baby is more than 55 pounds or big enough not to need one.

For a mid-price range, it’s actually available for just under 200 bucks, but sometimes you can catch this on a discounted price which will make this even more value for money! So you better hurry up and take advantage of this large discount from Amazon. You can even get this delivered to your doorstep for free.

The New Groove Ultralight is a fantastic medium-sized stroller that packs more power and functionalities than lighter strollers. Most important of all, this makes a great investment for its newborn-ready design limited to only few strollers and mostly expensive ones. So instead of buying cheap strollers that easily breaks again and again, you can save more in the long run when all you need is a New Groove!

Maxi-Cosi Dana Stroller: best travel system convertible

Similar to the Joovy New Groove, the Maxi-Cosi Dana is newborn ready, but more specially designed for infants. It has more cool features and benefits that you can use with infants since the Dana also works as a travel system, meaning you can attach an infant car seat to this. While at the same time, you can still use this as a primary stroller even when your baby grows since it can also hold up a recommended maximum weight of 55 pounds. Hence, the Maxi-Cosi Dana is my choice for this year’s best umbrella Stroller Travel System convertible.

Since the Dana has a multi-position recline, its most notable feature is its ability to be in carriage mode with a full recline. This allows you to use it as a true pram. And if your kid is big enough to be able to sit on his or her own, you can switch the seat to an upright position to let your curious child get a good view of the surroundings or lean it further back for a short nap.

You also have the option to use it as a travel system with or without the stroller seat attached. This is a big help to keep your load to a minimum every time you travel with a baby especially during his or her infant stage. And since the Dana comes with the Maxi-Cosi infant car seat adapters included, you can transfer your baby from the car straight to the stroller without having to wake him or her up! You just have to purchase the actual infant car seat separately though.

Honestly, if you have the extra bucks, then go for it! This brings out the maximum capability of Dana, plus you also get to take advantage of its added convenience and versatility. The Maxi-Cosi Dana has 3 modes of applicability. First, you can use it with your child straight from birth in carriage mode. Second, you can use it as the usual stroller alone. Third, you can use it as a travel system with the car seat attached; but only if you buy its Maxi-Cosi car seat that could set you back for another 200 bucks. It’s up to you to decide which of these modes works best for your time of need.

Similar to the New Groove, Maxi-Cosi Dana boasts an extra large water resistant canopy that protects your baby direct sunlight, or from getting wet from light rains. The water just beads up and rolls off the canopy. Pretty cool indeed! Its canopy also has a peek–a-boo window to keep an eye on your baby while on the go.

Dana’s seat has a soft-cushion so your baby will have a comfy ride despite having to sit for long hours. Plus, its headrest is adjustable to the liking of your child. On the other hand, you can also remove its seat cushion to have a better airflow and keep your baby cool during the extra hot days.

Maxi-Cosi is also within the safety standards by equipping the seat with a 5-point padded harness system to keep your baby comfortable and secured at the same time. It has a puzzle lock so your baby won’t be able to accidentally unlock it. It’s also complete with the usual extras such a parent cup holder and a big storage basket. I appreciate how the basket is spacious enough to fit in a number of bags for your trips.

It has lockable front wheels that swivel and suspension at the rear wheels that makes maneuvering this easy and without a hitch. It also has a foot brake that adds more convenience and safety.

While Maxi-Cosi Dana is quite more expensive for just under $250, it’s well-justified seeing how much more it brings to the table. It covers all the basics of an umbrella stroller, plus more functionality that truly caters to infant’s needs. You never have to miss out on those travels and outdoor bonding moments. After all, your baby is ensured to have a safe and cozy ride with the Maxi-Cosi Dana stroller.

If you truly desire an umbrella stroller and travel system in 1, but finds its price tag to be totally out of your budget. You may want to check out the Grace Breaze Click Connect. Its price may be more up to your alley.

Maclaren Twin Triumph: best twin umbrella stroller

When it comes to baby strollers, Maclaren is a luxury brand every parent would be proud to own! But if you have 2 kids, buying 2 Maclaren’s might leave a hole in your wallet. So instead, why don’t we just opt for a double or twin umbrella stroller, more specifically a Maclaren Twin Triumph. The Maclaren Twin Triumph is actually the replaced version of the popular Maclaren Rally Twin which was introduced in 2007. Although the Twin Triumph has already been around few years back, it is now reintroduce for its improved model.

It features Maclaren’s classic one-handed umbrella fold mechanism and a step on brake system, which are easy and convenient to use. It is a big turnaround on the side-slide brakes that Maclaren buggies had few years ago. The Twin Triumph is actually the ‘budget’ twin pushchair of Maclaren. Honestly, I picked this for my best twin stroller choice because I feel that its features cover all that you’ll need for a stroller. But if you really want all the cool details and upgrades, the Techno will be your best bet. The Techno however was released late last year and will set you back for another hundred bucks.

Focusing on the Twin Triumph, it actually weighs lighter at about 22 pounds. Having 2 kids along the trip means carrying about twice the stuff you usually bring with you. Lifting a double stroller in and out of the car or up and down flights of stairs is going to be a challenge. So it’s really a great help to have a stroller that is not heavy. This is where the Triumph comes in.

Considering it combines 2 strollers in 1, its weight is not heavy at all. Pushing two hefty toddlers around won’t be a problem at all! With its light and compact design that can fit standard doorways, it makes traveling with two a breeze. While at the same time, it’s great for storing indoors since it doesn’t take up too much space.

Maclaren Twin Triumph works well for twins, toddlers and babies starting from 6 months of age. It can carry a recommended weight up to 110 pounds. What’s pretty cool and I love about this is despite having two strollers attached together, they can work quite independently. So even if you have a toddler on one seat and a baby on the other seat, that’s totally fine. You can adjust the seats’ recline separately.

It can also be reclined in several positions, capable of reclining enough for infants as well as holds 2 or 4 year old toddlers. And since each seat reclines independently, it provides mood options for the little passengers. One of your babies can sleep while the other can sit up and enjoy the ride. Its seat is also fully-padded with built-in leg support cushion for a cozier ride.

Navigation with the Triumph won’t give you any headache as well. The wheels swivel and are lockable. Combined with its light aluminium frame, this makes it easy to maneuver even through tight doorways or going uphill. The stroller doesn’t have a central handle, but does have ergonomically-angled handles on each side for better grip and control. Not to mention, they are nicely padded too so it’s comfy to touch.

Both seats have two mesh basket style storage and built-in pockets in the back. So, the Twin Triumph manages to hold more stuff given there are more baby essentials to bring as well. If you’re on a family outing, you can even store some chips, juice packs and other snack items in there to save some dollars than buying in the resort or amusement parks. But much like most strollers, you have to empty the storage bins first before you can fold the stroller back up.

Its folding mechanism is very simple, quick and easy to do one-handed. Although, few people had some difficulty folding it down while wearing flip-flops or open-toed shoes. But if you really can’t help wearing flip-flops, don’t worry, you can still fold it down. It’s just a matter of getting the hang of it so try practicing for a bit first.

Both seats also have a 5 point safety harness to keep both of your children safe in place. However, they can be quite tricky to undo. You have to hit the sides of the button as you undo the belt.

Each seat is provided with a separate hood, which are really nice and deep. Both canopies are waterproof and have extendable UPF 50+ for better protection from the sun, wind or other elements. A premium wind-resistant raincover is also included, which easily fits over both seats simultaneously. It has clips on each side to keep it secure once folded.

Even though this is the budget version of a Maclaren, I still find it more appealing and higher quality than other cheap twin umbrella strollers. It’s made of fine materials with little flex and high thread-count fabric. All pieces fit perfectly well to ensure durability and sturdiness. It got all your necessities covered, plus few pretty cool features you’ll love. And not one function will you find it useless, so it’s worth every penny. The Twin Triumph is a sure winner in our hearts and will leave nothing but good impression!

The Reviews

Summer Infant 3D Lite

First on my list is the Summer Infant 3D Lite. This stroller has already made its presence since last year, so you might wonder what makes this a perfect choice for 2015? Well, for one thing, the manufacturer also produced a newer and improved model of it this year. But that’s not really important because honestly, there are only slight changes such as having a stronger plastic for the foot rest, the Crotch harness flap was removed and they made an improved folding and carrying system which is claimed to have a better auto-lock functions.

But regardless whether you opt for its 2014 or 2015 model, the Summer Infant 3D Lite never gone out-of-date! Why you ask? It’s already proven that it has the basic features you’ll ever need in a stroller for an affordable price. No stroller was ever made this year to ever compare with its features considering its price range. So with that said, I’m highlighting this one for parents out to buy A STROLLER WITH BUDGET ON MIND!

It also has features that you can find from umbrella strollers that are worth more of its price range. It didn’t came short when it comes to durability and safety despite its inexpensive price tag. And it still looks pretty or even more elegant than the others. It came with various bright and playful colors on its canopy. It is also not just there to make it look pretty but is very useful. It is adjustable and has a sun visor for the extra protection against UV rays which is perfect during sunnier days. While its large storage basket is handy for those mommies who love to bring lots of stuff while strolling.

It is easy to maneuver and folds effortlessly compact to easily fit the trunk of your car or put it in storage. However few seems to had trouble keeping the 2015 Summer Infant 3D to stay open. This may be an isolated case but it’s better to be sure so when you order and receive the item, inspect the stroller right away in case a faulty one is delivered to you. But no worries, Amazon provides excellent free shipping and return services. Also, it might be good practice to keep the stroller open for few days after receiving it just to let the stroller get the hang of it.

The stroller has a large seat area and has high handles. So that’s a great news for tall parents! If you are 5’8” in height or taller, you won’t need to worry about having to hunch over just to operate this thing. It has a 5-point harness that can be adjusted to 3 point when your child grows and has multi-position recline functions to almost flat! Its features alone are enough to close the deal, but pair it with an affordable price, then I’m definitely sold! This is the best choice for you looking to buy an umbrella stroller with a price ranging from $70-$100!

Maclaren Mark II

Now if price is not what matters the most to you and you happen to really like to travel a lot, then I’m sure you’ll love what’s next on my list – the Maclaren Mark II! Nothing beats its superior feather weight feature! It’s not even more than 7.4 pounds, so imagine how light it is and how easy it will be for you to bring it anywhere! You won’t even need to take your baby out to carry it. You can even lift it with just one hand or even with just few of your fingers, totally effortless. You may think that since it is light, it’s going to tip over easily as well. WRONG! Despite its weight, it is designed with aircraft-grade aluminum hexagonal tubing providing durable composure that even if you hung your bags or groceries on its handles, it will not tip over easily. It can even hold your kid’s weight of up to 55 pounds. Kuddos to Maclaren!

Strollers are usually folded with two hands and innovation brought us these with one-hand folding feature. But Maclaren takes it to another level by offering us a NO-HAND folding mechanism! It’s pretty cool, and just one of the things why I like this. It’s pretty clear at this point that having a kid around means having a lot of things to bring so having two hands free from folding the stroller is a huge plus. You can fold it with just a nudge of two or three with your foot while you carry your child on one hand and your other bags or stuffs on the other hand. Oh, and of course, it folds compactly as well. And speaking of innovation, this also offers an antimicrobial handles. We can’t really be sure if it’s 100% reliable but it’s a good attempt for the handles managing to stay clean on some level.

The only thing I don’t like about it is its inability to recline. It only has 1 seat position which is not very ideal for babies and sleepyheads. And it’s because of this, the Maclaren Mark II is only good for babies who are six months of age and up or to babies who can sit on their own.

But compared to that set back, there are more reasons to love it aside from its already winning features I mentioned earlier. It can fit to almost anywhere since it is easy to push on subways and also fit through narrow aisles. Its 4-wheel suspension are very easy to maneuver on even over uneven terrain, the seat panel of this stroller keeps children comfortable. The waterproof hood and extendable sun visor are also cool and useful. It has a mesh part on its seat which is a great design to consider so it will not feel too hot for our little ones from sitting on it for too long. The peek-a-boo window is also a nice add-on just so we can take a peak and check on how our kid is doing. Lastly, its package includes a rain cover and carry strap.

With the long list of features it offers, it’s not a surprise that it’s a bit pricier than the other lightweight strollers. You can buy this for not more than $200, but the features you get out of this is totally worth it. If it is only a matter of traveling in convenience, hands down this will be your best bet! The Maclaren Mark II does not weigh too much, but this what makes it a heavy contender. And it’s definitely leaving a mark on my best umbrella strollers 2015 list.

Baby Jogger Vue

Next on my list is the Baby Jogger Vue 2015 Lite. The very first thing that I noticed and have always fancied about it is its uniqueness – it is reversible! It’s hard to find umbrella strollers that can face both ways. And true enough, this is its selling point even with its 2014 version. I just love its reversible seat as I find it very useful and handy to use. Watching over your kids is made easier with this feature since you can now have them face you any time you want. It can do so much even with its seat reversed! Considering how easy it is to flip it with just one hand and can still has a deep recline while in reverse are just “AWE-mazing”. No need to take it apart and turn the whole seat just to put it in inverse position. Throw in a lightweight feature of about 14.5 pounds, it’s no wonder why I had fallen in love with it even before and up until now.

The large canopy is great because it can cover the baby better from the sun, although it would be nice to have a peek-a-boo window on its canopy. Nonetheless, it’s not hard to just stop for a bit and lean forward to check on how your baby is doing. My only concern about this stroller is that I have had a hard time accessing the bottom basket to put or get my baby’s essentials since it’s not that big.

I like the available colors and style of this stroller, you can choose from 4 varied colors.  Its cool harness is a go-setter and easy to put together. Needless to say that this Baby Jogger Vue 2015 Lite is way much better than its last year’s version since it is lighter, where the 2014 series weighs at 17.4 pounds. Another thing I also love is its easy compact fold, which can be done by one hand as well. The best thing about the Baby Jogger Vue 2015 Lite is its reliability – it is tried and tested by several mommies and daddies who gave it a great review, accumulating a rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars. It’s also available for not more than $180, which is not expensive at all considering its unique features to offer.

Uppababy G-Luxe 2015

Speaking of tried and tested umbrella strollers, another one that made on the list is the UPPAbaby 2015 G-Luxe Stroller. Almost every year that UPPababy introduces a newer version, and it just keeps getting better. This year UPPAbaby 2015 G-Luxe Stroller is at its finest. It’s one of my personal all-time favorites as I have featured it quite a few times already and you can read my comprehensive review of it here. But to give you a quick look, allow me to tell you what is so good about the G-Luxe.

Just the name alone, it pretty much claims to be a luxury stroller for your kid. It has high handles, a very plus points for tall parents and hard to find from inexpensive umbrella strollers I’m sure! The canopy is remarkable and easy to open. It is removable, height adjustable and even has an extendable SPF 50 to provide actual protection and prevent direct sunlight. This time they added the one action brake for easier maneuverability and improved construction with lighter aluminum frame for a robust profile, durability and lighter weight. This one only weighs at 15 pounds. Its fabrics and seat are also removable so you can wash it to stay clean and keep your child’s hygiene. It can also recline to almost flat and adjustable leg rest for comfortable long sitting for your little angel. And as always, it’s easy to operate as you can effortlessly fold and unfold and recline it with just one hand. These are all the qualities that every parent will ever need in a stroller and I found them with Uppababy G-Luxe.

The G-Luxe retained its stylis look but with darker tones and more colors to choose from. Its average price is $259.99 with free shipping and got a 4.6 ratings out of 5. While it does seem to be quite expensive as compared to the other brands of umbrella strollers, but that’s simply the price you have to pay to get a trusted brand and make an investment worth with better returns.

Summer Infant 3D Flip

2015 is a great year for Summer Infant because aside from its 3D Convenience stroller, it successfully introduced 2 more models that are sure hits! If you want a reversible umbrella stroller for a lower cost than the Baby Jogger Vue then I’m sure you will love the Summer Infant 3D Flip. Its basic features come with the 5 point safety harness, 6-position multi-recline, oversized one-hand adjustable canopy with peek-a-boo window, parent cup holder, storage pockets and the reversible seat design.

But since it also comes with the unique quality that the Baby Jogger Vue has, it’s inevitable that they are being compared often. There are really no other reversible umbrella strollers worth mentioning except for these two. But if I need to choose just one between the two, I’d likely cash out few more bucks to get the Jogger Vue. Before you ask why, just hear me out! The Baby Jogger Vue has already been tested and when it comes to the reversible feature, they’re first. I also find the fabric used on Vue to be thicker and feels like it won’t rip open easily.  And although Summer Infant 3D Flip weighs slightly lighter than the Vue which is actually a good thing, weighing at 14 and 14.5 pounds respectively, the Vue on the other hand can hold up to 55 pounds while the 3D Flip has a maximum weight recommendation of 50 pounds. So basing on these, I think the Vue can stick around with me longer. The extra cash out is worth it.

Nevertheless, the 3D Flip can still throw some punches and knock out other competitions, after all it is an awesome package for a reasonable price and free shipping service if bought from Amazon. From $150, you may usually get this at a bargain of $130 or lower which would really make this even a sweeter deal! Get the Summer Infant 3D Flip to get a reversible umbrella stroller for an affordable price.

Summer Infant 3D Zyre

Now let’s move on to 3D Flip’s brother, the Summer Infant 3D Zyre. With one look, its OVERSIZED canopy is the first thing you will notice. Talk about total cover and protection from the elements, the 3D Zyre is an obvious choice and makes Joovy fans waver on their loyalty! It even got a peek-a-boo window feature on its canopy as well to let you easily check on your child anytime you want. Clearly this is the bump up version of the 3D Lite.

It’s slightly heavier with a weight of 13 pounds, but definitely not a deal breaker since it is still pretty light for me and it has more improved qualities to be “D-Zyred” about. Get it? Sorry for the lame pun… But 3D Zyre does resonates something to desire. For one, its hand grips has an added padding contoured foam for extra comfort for us parents; while its harness is also padded to secure our baby without making them feel uneasy on their seat and sore on their bodies.  It can also recline in 3 positions, switching them over with just one-hand. Folding it is easy with 3 simple steps of lifting its rear handle, pushing the lever with your foot and folding it that auto locks in place. It comes with a carry strap so carrying it around will never be a hassle. It also has a cup holder, 3 pockets with zipper and easy access storage basket at the bottom which always have been convenient add-ons to have.

In the end the 3D Zyre successfully meets our 3C’s or criteria for an awesome umbrella stroller: Comfort, Convenience and Confidence. With 3D Zyre’s features, it’s pretty clear how it delivers great comfort and convenience to us and our babies. But we are also confident with it that it will keep our little angel safe and not let us down. With price being sold about $160, you may get big discounts when you buy it from Amazon with free shipping; plus it got a high satisfaction rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars.

The 3D Zyre now has a successor which we currently know as Summer Infant 3D One which I also featured for the best umbrella strollers for 2016. So, if the 3D Zyre has piqued your interest, then you shouldn’t miss out on it! After all, that could be the “One” for you.

Graco Breaze Click Connect Stroller

And finally, but definitely not the least, is the Graco Breaze Click Connect Stroller. Among all in the list, this one is actually the heaviest with a weight of 17.5 pounds. However, what’s so special about it is its ability to connect to travel system. It accepts all Graco Click Connect infant car seats with only one-step attachment to create own travel system. The infant car seat and car seat base are sold separately though, so you will have to buy them to get the most of its potential. If you’ll think about it, infant car seats are also useful especially when your child is still young so this helps to keep your baby safe in the car while traveling. If you have the extra budget, it would be nice to get them all together. You can even get a special lower price rather buying them separately.

No question on its durability and it can carry your kid up to 50 pounds. It also grows with your child since it has an adjustable foot rest and has a convertible 3 to 5 point harness, so rest assured that this stroller can be used for a longer time. The height is just perfect for me, so no worries on having sore back from hunching over it. I also find its easy-fold mechanism wonderful, not only does it auto locks in place to keep it folded, it can also stand on its own while folded. This way, I won’t have to put it down and get it dirtied while I put my bags and groceries inside the car.  Although some have noted that it gets unlocked easily so it would be nice to double the lock on your own.

Your kid will be able to sleep or nap comfortably during the long walks since the Graco Breaze has a multi-position recline, handled with just one hand, that can even lie flat without having to put the car seat; thus makes this a terrific choice especially when your child is still in infant stage. The large and padded seat gives extra comfy as well. The canopy successfully does its job in blocking sunrays and not just there as a display. It is approximately at 26”, large enough to provide proper shade and it also got an extendable visor with UV 50+ protection and peek-a-boo window. More features that moms and dads will surely like are its huge storage basket at the bottom, easy maneuverability with one-step action brake and wheels that are surely secured.

Its price is pretty average and can still fit in your budget. It’s roughly around $130 and got 4.6 out of 5 star ratings. This is a well-designed stroller that packs lots of useful functions. And as its name suggests, taking our little angel out for a walk will be easy breezy.

The Reviews

Summer Infant Go Lite Convenience Stroller

Summer Infant is no stranger to making great quality strollers for an affordable price, best example is their Summer Infant 3D Lite. It was so successful in 2014 that they left nothing but positive remarks and 2015 is proven to be another great year for them as they produced their new lineups to watch out for, the 3D Flip, 3D Zyre and now the Summer Infant Go Lite Convenience Stroller. For moms and dads in search for feather weight stroller with lesser budget, this is highly recommended!

Now that the First Years Ignite is no longer widely available, but you still want one, this is as close as you can get. Better yet, it’s cheaper! Although, the Ignite is still better in features, the differences are minimal. The Summer Infant Go Lite has a 5-point safety harness and is made of a sturdy steel frame, so you will be confident on the safety of your child. Its anti-shock front wheels are nice to have. It can keep your little one sound asleep even as you go over rough terrains or bumpy roads. And for something to be quite inexpensive, its recline adjustment is well define that it can smoothly adjust from seating position to almost flat to provide better comfort for your baby while she sleeps.

You are also likely to use this long enough until your child learns how to walk because it can carry up to 50 pounds of weight. However the seat is fairly shallow so make sure to only use this when your child can sit on its own. It storage pocket is also kind of small for me, since I love to travel, I prefer a stroller that has a large storage for my baby’s essentials. Obviously,  it’s no match when compared to higher end umbrella strollers and that will also not be fair. The Summer Infant Go Lite Convenience Stroller is still a great gem above the usual cheap umbrella strollers.

I like its adjustable canopy, it not really that big but it is still nice to have one and it manages to provide little sun shade. Its three fold style is very easy but may require two hands. It is sleek and can be stored in tiny spaces, it can even fit just at the back of your door. The stroller weighs about 15.6 pounds, still pretty light that I can manage to carry it with one hand and not give me much trouble when travelling.

The style is simple yet still shows sophistication and does not go out of date. The black and green color combination is my favorite. I love to travel with my little angel, but I also need to take care on house chores, my business and accomplish my job as a wife, I don’t have a lot of free time to clean it; so the color helps. The little green accent makes it pretty than just going with pure black, but that’s just my preference.

Last but not the least, it still boils down to price. The price of Summer Infant Go Lite ranges between $55 to $65, depending on its design. It’s not the lowest among the three but it’s one of the best cheap umbrella strollers that provides the most value for your money. It’s practical and you get what you pay for with slightly better quality and features. If you got few extra cash, you may want to consider the Summer Infant 3D Lite with just about 10 bucks difference, or you may also want to check out the best umbrella strollers under $100. Your summer outing will be successful and complete with the Summer Infant Go Lite Convenience Stroller. Two thumbs up for this stroller!

Baby Trend Rocket Lightweight Stroller

Baby Trend Rocket Lightweight Stroller is one of the leading strollers when it comes to affordability with a punch! It’s light both in weight and to your wallet. Baby Trend Rocket Lightweight Stroller lives up to its name as “lightweight” with its weight of only 12.5 pounds. This makes it a lot easier for moms to move it around either indoor or during outdoor walks. Despite its inexpensive price tag, Baby Trend Rocket packs more impressive quality features that would surely compel you to bag one for your sweet child.

If there’s one thing we can’t ignore, it is of course the safety of our kids. And Baby Trend manages to meet this standard with a Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) certification as proof. It also has a 5 point harness so our baby’s safety and security will never be compromised. The five straps mounted to the stroller will ensure that your baby is held tight on the seat. Two are located at the shoulders, two at the hips, and one at the crotch.

One of the most common reason why we go for an umbrella stroller is due to its easy and compact fold for travel and storage, wherein this one is also no different! And consider adding its lightweight attribute, its compact fold feature makes the stroller totally mobile and portable. It’s also a big time space saver during travel and when not in used. Just fold it and fit it smoothly inside your car’s trunk for travels or inside a closet for storage.

Next is its sleek comfort-grip handles.  The curved handle is designed to ensure that the handle will not slip from your hands. Unlike other cheap brands, it is soft to touch and placed at a comfortable height. Short or tall parents will not be in an awkward position when pushing this and end up having sore backs from handling this.

Strolling with your baby is indeed a bonding activity and it is always fun. But sometimes during the stroll, you know you have to pause and stop by. With pause and stop by, it means stopping by with the stroller. Baby Trend Rocket Lightweight Stroller’s dual foot activated parking brake feature is engineered to hold the stroller steady as you pause. I tell you moms, it really won’t roll when these two brakes are at work.

It also has a large canopy that serves as shade and protects your baby from too much direct sunlight which could be harmful to their sensitive skin. Its canopy is also adjustable and even removable for cleaning. It has a basket underneath that can provide an additional depository for your bags and other baby necessities. However don’t expect getting too much space from it, then again considering its price, the basket that comes with it is pretty acceptable.

Additional accessory you’d always love to have is a parent organizer tray which is present in here. The parent organizer tray located behind the seat section is a very useful innovation I must say. It includes two cup holders and zipper compartment that allows you an easy access to your favorite drink, your baby’s milk and your phone as you stroll with your baby. This just defines convenience, am I right moms? Although I recommend that you don’t place your hot drinks in there to avoid any accidental spills that could hurt your kid.

I’m sure by now you’re quite convinced that this is totally a good buy! But allow me tell you more about its specifications. Its dimensions is 29.5 x 40.6 x 18.3 inches. Basically, that’s above 3 feet from the floor. This stroller is sturdy and strong enough that it can hold your baby up to 50 pounds as indicated maximum weight recommendation in the packaging. Your baby can use this until he or she reaches the age of 3 or so. It also reclines but only up to 2 to 4 inches. As an additional information, the stroller is made with the combination of Plastic, Polyester and Steel material that has flame retardant protective quality, pretty neat!

Baby Trend Rocket Lightweight Stroller comes in two colors which are known as Duke, a combination of Black and Red, and Princeton, carries an all black. I personally like the Princeton because it looks gorgeous and classy; plus, it’s won’t get dirtied easily. While Duke looks brighter, sleek and attractive too. Which one do you prefer?

I found one customer got its handles cracked after 3 weeks of use, though this is probably an isolated case given that there weren’t a lot of reported cases such as this. Few were also concerned with the durability of the wheels. In cases like this, the best option that you can do is to contact Baby Trend customer service and report the problem immediately. They’ll be more than happy to assist you and if needed, replace the product for you in no time with free return service if you buy it from Amazon.

You have to take note that this product is eligible for Amazon’s 30-days return policy only. So make sure to check all of your ordered items, not just this one, right after receiving it to check for any faulty parts. It is advisable to report any problems the soonest time that you might encounter to be able to address the issue immediately.

All in all, for me this product rocks. Being a mother to an infant, Baby Trend Rocket Lightweight Stroller is one of the dependable baby furniture that you surely would not want to miss especially if you have a limited budget. For a price just a little shy away from $50, it is way more than useful, provides convenience, reliability and comfort. Get this from Amazon to get free shipping of this impressive stroller right to your doorstep. This is one capable stroller that provides more value for your money. Indeed a must have for budget conscious parents in need of strollers for their babies! So, when will you gonna get yours?

Kolcraft Cloud Umbrella Stroller

As a stroller go further down the price, it is quite expected that it will have lesser features when compared to the more expensive ones. Although the Kolcraft Cloud Umbrella is not miles better than the Summer Infant, it still tries to step up. It has both advantages and slight disadvantage when compared to the Go Lite.

The Kolcraft Cloud is a great push chair that works pretty damn well for its price.  But first, let me tell you its drawbacks. Unlike the Summer Infant Go Lite, this one only has 3-point harness and has a lower weight limit of up to 40 pounds. Its safety harness still does a good job of securing your child but I would suggest you to only use this if your little one is not so little anymore, about more than 8 months of age and can sit on his/her own effortlessly. Its height is pretty average, but if you’re way too tall, you may end up kicking its rear wheels a bit so just watch out for that.

Despite these shortcomings, it still has qualities to love. It’s really lightweight, just about 11 pounds, so it’s easy to lift this in and out of the car’s trunk or carry it around while commuting. It can fit in compact vehicles and still leaves some room for other things like your groceries or shopping bags. It is well built, sturdy and easy to put together. You just pop on the wheels and you’re quite set to go.

Its canopy and mesh basket at the bottom are not as big as you would expect from standard ones but the canopy manages to provide some coverage and is quite bigger than the Go Lite. While the basket is enough for you to put on some of your stuff. It also comes with a cup holder, perfect for morning walks. It is easy to operate, maneuvers smoothly and folds up nicely and in just one step.

Above all, it has a cool climate roll-up portion on the seat which is what I like the most! During the summer with extra hot weather, it’s nice that you can let your child sit on a mesh back for better air ventilation to keep him/her cool. While on colder seasons, you can roll it down for extra padding to provide cozier and warmer touch to your cute one.

It has few hiccups but it definitely brings convenience to traveling. It got a pretty good score of 4.2 out of 5 stars. It’s available for not more than $50 with free shipping and free return service from Amazon. Shopping made easy with just a click of a button, a friendly courier will drop it straight to your doorstep. No need to hassle your way through the streets while carrying your child or having to use a heavy stroller. And if you’re lucky, you can sometimes even get for as low as $27, making this definitely one of the best cheap umbrella strollers around. This is a great value that allows you to get what you pay for, no less! The Kolcraft Cloud Umbrella Stroller is a great buy to roll along with your travels.
