The Reviews

Baby Trend Rocket Lightweight Stroller

Baby Trend Rocket Lightweight Stroller has reminiscent features of First Years Ignite, which was a popular hit back in 2014. With such resemblance, the Baby Trend Rocket Stroller already looks promising. Nevertheless, the Baby Trend proves to be a worthy choice on its own for it’s truly a well-featured stroller for the price. It is, after all, one of the leading strollers when it comes to affordability with a punch!

It’s light both in weight and to your wallet. Baby Trend Rocket Lightweight Stroller lives up to its “lightweight” name, since it only weighs 12.5 pounds. This makes it a lot easier for moms to move it around either indoor or during outdoor walks. And yet, it can hold a big weight of up to 50 pounds, which is pretty awesome by the way given its price point and lightweight quality. Despite its inexpensive price tag, Baby Trend Rocket packs more impressive quality features that would surely compel you to bag one for your sweet child.

If there’s one thing we can’t ignore, it is of course the safety of our kids. And Baby Trend manages to meet this standard with a Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) certification as proof. It also has a 5 point harness so our baby’s safety and security will never be compromised. The five straps mounted to the stroller will ensure that your baby is held tight on the seat. Two are located at the shoulders, two at the hips, and one at the crotch.

One of the most common reason why we go for an umbrella stroller is due to its easy and compact fold for travel and storage, wherein this one is also no different! And consider adding its lightweight attribute, its compact fold feature makes the stroller totally mobile and portable. It’s also a big time space saver during travel and when not in used. Just fold it and fit it smoothly inside your car’s trunk for travels or inside a closet for storage.

Next is its sleek comfort-grip handles. The curved handle is designed to ensure that the handle will not slip from your hands. Unlike other cheap brands, it is soft to touch and placed at a comfortable height. Short or tall parents will not be in an awkward position when pushing this and end up having sore backs from handling this.

Strolling with your baby is indeed a bonding activity and it is always fun. But sometimes during the stroll, you know you have to pause and stop by. With pause and stop by, it means stopping by with the stroller. Baby Trend Rocket Lightweight Stroller’s dual foot activated parking brake feature is engineered to hold the stroller steady as you pause. I tell you moms, it really won’t roll when these two brakes are at work.

Its canopy has a decent size. While it obviously cannot provide full coverage, it still provides some shade and protects your baby from too much direct sunlight which could be harmful to their sensitive skin. Its canopy is also adjustable and even removable for cleaning. It has a basket underneath that can provide an additional depository for your bags and other baby necessities. However don’t expect getting too much space from it, then again considering its price, the basket that comes with it is pretty acceptable.

Additional accessory you’d always love to have is a parent organizer tray which is present in here. The parent organizer tray located behind the seat section is a very useful innovation I must say. It includes two cup holders and zipper compartment that allows you an easy access to your favorite drink, your baby’s milk and your phone as you stroll with your baby. This just defines convenience, am I right moms? Although I recommend that you don’t place your hot drinks in there to avoid any accidental spills that could hurt your kid.

I’m sure by now you’re realizing this is totally a good buy! But allow me to further set that in stone by telling you more about its specifications. Its dimensions is 29.5 x 40.6 x 18.3 inches. Basically, that’s above 3 feet from the floor. This stroller is sturdy and strong enough. As I’ve mentioned earlier, it can hold your baby up to a maximum weight recommendation of 50 pounds. Your baby can use this until he or she reaches the age of 3 or so. Its frame has the combination of Plastic, Polyester and Steel material that has flame retardant protective quality, pretty neat!

At these prices, you wouldn’t expect a baby stroller to be able to recline, but boy, this one does! Which makes this an even sweeter treat! While it doesn’t fully recline, it still able to recline for 2 to 4 inches down.

Baby Trend Rocket Lightweight Stroller comes in two colors which are known as Duke, a combination of Black and Red, and Princeton, wears an all black. I personally like the Princeton because it looks gorgeous and classy; plus, it’s won’t get dirtied easily. While Duke looks brighter, sleek and attractive too. Which one do you prefer?

Do note though that there was a customer who got its handles cracked after 3 weeks of use. On the other hand, this is probably an isolated case given that there weren’t a lot of reported cases such as this. Few were also concerned with the durability of the wheels. In cases like this, the best option that you can do is to contact Baby Trend customer service and report the problem immediately. They’ll be more than happy to assist you and if needed, replace the product for you in no time with free return service if you buy it from Amazon.

You have to take note that this product is eligible for Amazon’s 30-days return policy only. So make sure to check all of your ordered items, not just this one, right after receiving it to check for any faulty parts. It is advisable to report any problems the soonest time that you might encounter to be able to address the issue immediately.

All in all, for me this product rocks. Baby Trend Rocket Lightweight Stroller is clearly a dependable baby furniture that you surely would not want to miss especially if you have a limited budget. For a price just a little shy away from $50, it is way more than capable and useful. It provides convenience, reliability and comfort, all in one affordable package. Baby Trend Rocket proves its stand to be the best umbrella stroller under 50 bucks. Buy this from Amazon and you even get to avail free shipping of this impressive stroller right to your doorstep. Indeed a must have for budget conscious parents in need of strollers for their babies!

I know you’re pretty much already sold as I am with this fella, but hey, you can still check out the rest on the list.

J is for Jeep Brand North Star Stroller

A stylish, balanced, and comfortable stroller is hard to find nowadays. It’s always a battle between price and quality while some can be so comfortable but be so heavy because of all the bells and whistles. One of the best of my latest finds happens to be from J is for Jeep and it is the North Star Stroller. Not only is it lightweight and comfortable, it is pretty much the no nonsense stroller every minimalist parent out there is looking for.

Let’s first get over with some of North Star’s weaker points. For starters, North Star can only hold up to 40 lbs. Secondly, it only comes with 3-point safety harness. These qualities may not sound as impressive as the Rocket, but they are still highly acceptable for the price. And I guarantee you they’re totally safe to use and can definitely take a beating. After all, While the harness still keeps your baby firmly in place without restricting free movement too much that it feels almost strangling. Regardless, the North Star still has its own edge over other strollers in this price point, including Baby Trend’s.

This gorgeous stroller also screams value for money being the most versatile stroller in the more affordable range of baby strollers. In fact, it also sports the largest canopy around in this price range. Its canopy even has an extra sun visor to protect your baby from getting too much sun and other bad elements. North Star also got the best weight, rolling in at only 10 pounds. Plus, it folds very quickly to a compact size. It’s simply perfect for parents who are travelling and always on the go since it’s very easy to move, bring it anywhere and put it away.

Best of all, I totes love its padded seat with roll-up design. You can opt to roll up the seat’s padding to use as a headrest and it’s also perfect for the summer during extra hot weather. This way, you can let your child sit on a mesh back for better air ventilation to keep him/her cool which is really nice. While on colder seasons, you can roll it down for extra padding to provide cozier and warmer touch to your cute little one.

I also particularly love how the handles and heights of the stroller are very well thought out! Its handles are 40” high from the ground so it isn’t a problem at all for shorter and taller people to maneuver this. Hooray to no more hunching over nor bending all the way down and goodbye to sore backs!

Speaking of maneuvering, its front wheels swivel has suspension system that helps absorb shock from bumpy roads. The back wheels, on the other hand, are lockable when you need to keep the stroller in place. North Star also got a calf support and a footrest which are icing on the cake.

For the parent’s convenience, there’s a removable carry-all parent organizer at the back so you won’t have your hands full when you run around doing errands with the baby. Other than the handy removable bag at the back, there’s also a storage basket underneath for whatever you may need along the way. Lastly, there’s also a cup holder for your beverage needs!

All in all, the J is For Jeep Brand North Star Stroller is a gem, especially in this economy. It’s incredibly rare to find an umbrella stroller that fits into the complicated Venn diagram that is price, quality, and design. Whenever I use this gorgeous stroller, it really blows my mind that it doesn’t cost much. So, if you’re in the market for the best umbrella stroller under 50 dollars that isn’t only affordable but also performs extremely well, this might be the one for you. Who says you have to break the bank to get the best for you and your baby?

Kolcraft Cloud Umbrella Stroller

As we go further down the price, you can’t totally expect for a product to have more features than the more expensive ones. Although the Kolcraft Cloud Umbrella is not miles better than the Baby Trend Rocket, it still tries to step up. It has both advantages and slight disadvantage when compared to the others on the list.

The Kolcraft Cloud is a great push chair that works pretty damn well for its price.  Before we get to the good parts, let me first tell you its drawbacks. This one only has 3-point harness as well like the North Star and has a lower weight limit of up to 40 pounds. Its safety harness still does a good job of securing your child. I would suggest you to only use this if your little one is not so little anymore, about more than 8 months of age and can sit on his/her own effortlessly. Its height is pretty average, but if you’re way too tall, you may end up kicking its rear wheels a bit so just watch out for that.

Despite these shortcomings, it still has qualities to love. It’s really lightweight, just about 11 pounds, so it’s easy to lift this in and out of the car’s trunk or carry it around while commuting. It can fit in compact vehicles and still leaves some room for other things like your groceries or shopping bags. It is well-built, sturdy and easy to put together. Just pop on the wheels and you’re pretty much set to go.

Its mesh bottom basket may not be as big as you would expect from standard ones. However, it still has decent space for you to fit in your baby’s essentials and other stuff. On the other hand, I appreciate the size of its canopy. It’s better and quite bigger than the Rocket, as it can manage to provide more coverage. It also comes with a cup holder, perfect for morning walks. It is easy to operate, maneuvers smoothly and folds up nicely and in just one step.

Above all, this one also has a cool climate roll-up portion on the seat which I really like the most! You can roll the seat padding up or down depending on the condition of the weather. With exposed mesh back keeps air circulation around the baby. So, it keeps your baby cool and prevents sweat build-up on the seat.

It has few hiccups but it definitely brings convenience to traveling. It’s been well tested and got a pretty good score of 4.1 out of 5 stars. It’s available for not more than $50 with free shipping and free return service from Amazon. Shopping is easier with just a click of a button, a friendly courier will drop it straight to your doorstep. No need to hassle your way through the streets while carrying your child or having to use a heavy stroller. While the Kolcraft has more similar features to the North Star, this one has the lowest price tag among the bunch. It has the best price for all the features you need, making this the best umbrella stroller under 50 bucks. The Kolcraft Cloud Umbrella Stroller is a great buy to roll along with your travels.

For one thing, the best cheap umbrella strollers can not only carry toddlers but should also be capable of letting our children feel comfortable and secured.

Hence, if you only have $50 for your budget, this is a great place to start! Baby Trend Rocket Lightweight stroller is a fully-functional stroller that can also stay with your baby very much longer. While preferring for a the lightest option for constant travels, the North Star will be your best bet. While getting closest to all of the features of the other 2 strollers at the least cost, the Kolcraft Cloud makes for an awesome steal!

Mom’s words of advice

Shopping is a gamble no matter what price you end up paying. You can be paying too much for a product that’s worth way less of its value. Or you can end up buying very inexpensive item but ends up breaking after a few use only. One thing’s certain, buying an item that’s worth more, or at least equal, of its price is totally satisfying. And that’s how you’d also feel with the best umbrella strollers under 50 dollars. They have all the basic features you really need covered, offering you great value for money. Thus, I guarantee you this will be your best $50 well spent!

J is for Jeep Brand North Star Stroller: best low priced range

Established in 1941, the Jeep brand has been a symbol of freedom and expression. This year, the Jeep brand has introduced quite a line-up for us. Honestly, if I could include all of them, I would as they all have pretty nifty features for a good price deal. All of them really gave me a hard time deciding what makes them stand out better than the rest available in the market.

But for a low price range, the J is the Jeep Brand North Star is the sure winner for the spot. North Star is the perfect stroller for the family who loves the outdoors. Aside from its affordability, it is comfortable, convenient and safe to use.

North Star has all basic essentials covered. It includes a removable carry-all parent organizer which hangs from the back, an extra-large extendable canopy with sun visor to protect your child from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun and a three-point safety harness that goes around the waist and the crotch that meet in the middle.

Its cup holder is actually large enough for your regular Starbucks cup. However, the storage basket is rather shallow so don’t expect too much out of it. But it’s still better to have one than none at all to put some of yours and your baby’s stuff. Its front wheels swivel and feature a suspension system that gives outstanding control of the wheels.

The padded seat can be rolled up into a comfortable headrest and exposes a mesh back which allows better airflow perfect for the summer walks. Aside from the comfy padded seat, a child can travel for long hours comfortably with the help of its calf support and footrest. This stroller can carry a maximum weight recommendation of 40 pounds and is advisable for a child who has developed enough upper body control to sit.

And in order to keep the cost to a minimum to be able to sell it at a lower price, North Star had to compromise and removed the reclining function. It’s a bit of a let down really but that is the only drawback it has. Fortunately the seat is already at slightly reclined position, to keep your baby comfortable and prevent him or her from bending forward. Your child’s safety is still the priority.

What’s more to love about North Star is its ability for a quick and compact fold and unfold for storage. It has good handle height so you won’t get any sore backs from having to keep bending forward just to push this thing. Top of it all, this sleek stroller is ultra light, weighing for just about 10 pounds!

It’s totally going to be your best travel buddy. You will not have a hard time bringing it or carrying it wherever you go. Its easy grip and extra-long foam handles makes it really easy to keep hold of the stroller.

Summer Infant 3Dtote Convenience Stoller: best under $150 budget

When it comes to Summer Infant, we’re always on our toes and anticipate what they have in store for us. They never miss to keep us in awe for their new offering of strollers every year! From their hit stroller, the 3Dlite then 3D Zyre, now comes the 3Dtote! If you happen to love its older siblings, then you’ll totally fall in love for sure.

The Summer Infant 3Dtote Convenience Stroller is designed after the award-winning and best-selling stroller, 3Dlite, but packs with more improved features, comfort and performance. It is durable, fairly lightweight and made with a sturdy aluminum frame. Its expandable ‘snap up or snap down’ mesh storage basket is even 3 times larger than its predecessor, 3Dlite, and provides more storage space for your stuff. It is also decked out with a number of pockets, extra cup holders and toy loops. Now, you can bring those adventure essentials along without having to stress over how to carry them all.

Best bonding moments with family are created by engaging in outdoor activities together. From simple strolling to out-of-town trips, you’ll realize that there are just loads of important things to bring, especially having a baby along the trip; so the need for more storage in a stroller is necessary! To answer to that clamor, Summer Infant 3Dtote Convenience Stroller comes to your rescue. A stroller that can actually hold all the ESSENTIALS mom and child need. Its rear storage extension can be made bigger by simply snapping the basket up. It’s definitely one of the largest storage baskets I’ve seen so far. With all the available space you can put your stuff in, just make sure you don’t forget to bring them. You can fully enjoy your adventure with your little one with no worries!

When it comes to canopies, the 3Dtote is not far left behind. Its canopy is adjustable and large enough to protect your child’s sensitive skin. It also has a pop out sun visor for an extended protection from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays. It only lacks a SPF sunshade since its visor is only made with regular fabric. On the plus side, it has a peek-a-boo window to allow you to check your child regularly.

Its seat is attached with a 5-point safety harness with additional padding to keep your baby safe and comfortable throughout the ride. Best of all, the harness can easily adjusts to 3 height positions to adapt to your child’s growth. I always love a stroller that has a grow with your child feel as you actually get more of your money’s worth. This might just be the stroller you’ll ever need with your baby and have it around until child grows old enough not to need one!

Diapers are common sight when it comes to babies. So, the company designed a convenient way to accommodate diaper bags and shopping bags through built in clips. Your stroller will be saved from looking like a huge mess with all sorts of weights hanging from the front of the stroller, as the clips will secure your bags in place. The 3Dtote will not tip over easily and can accommodate a maximum hanging weight of 5 pounds.

3Dtote is designed with convenience in mind. As I mentioned earlier, it allows easy access to the large bottom basket. Plus, it has the ability to lay the seat nearly flat, to make napping and on-the-go diaper changes hassle-free. The seat also reclines in 3 positions to support the age and mood of your child for maximum comfort. You can recline the seat effortlessly using its one hand handle and adjust to the proper position you want. One missing convenience I noticed is the absence of a footrest, but not a deal breaker for me.

We want a smooth ride for baby, especially so as not to disturb his sleep. 3Dtote’s large and durable 6-inch wheels has easy glide bearings and front suspension for better shock absorption and rolls smoothly. All wheels are lockable and can stay in place even on trickier surfaces such as cobblestone. The front wheel can swivel while the rear wheels can easily be locked with just the tip of your shoe.

Summer Infant 3Dtote Convenience Stroller is recommended for babies from 6 months to 50 pounds. The 3Dtote allows you to travel with baby safely and with ease without compromising comfort. It wears an all black with few accents that looks modern and trendy that won’t get dirtied easily.

For not more than hundred thirty bucks, this may not be the lightest in the group but it has all the bells and whistles you’ll need and want in a stroller while get a bang for your buck! Hence, this is without a doubt the best umbrella strollers 2017 for the mid price rangeLike its siblings, the 3Dtote is a wonderful piece you should never miss out on.

JOOVY New Groove Ultralight Umbrella Stroller: best mid-price range

There’s a new groove in town you simply cannot miss! No, it’s not a new dance craze, but you’ll surely can’t stop dancing if you happen to own one of these far out strollers. I’m talking about the Joovy’s New Groove Ultralight strollers.

Joovy Groove Umbrella strollers have been around quite some time already, and it has been well-received ever since. It’s most well-known for its oversize canopy that even from afar, you can already tell it’s a Joovy. And this year, they got a revamp on their Groove and made it even better. Since we have featured the Joovy Groove version numerous times, it’s no surprise to see the revamp New Groove on our list of best umbrella strollers 2017.

Here comes a stroller which is not only newborn ready, but also for the big little ones, making the Joovy New Groove my best all around choice. This stroller has undergone several changes and enhancements, in their efforts to give the utmost comfort to our little ones. The new seat has a deeper recline and a bassinet mode such that newborns and children up to 55 lbs can sit and nap comfortably.

The seat is so nice that it is adequately padded with 5 point safety harness to keep your baby in place. Its multi-position recline can lay near-flat and easily adjust it with one hand even while the baby is occupying the seat, simply by pressing on the trigger found on each side of the recline clip. So you are ensured that your baby can sleep soundly without getting disturbed as you travel around the city or park for long hours. Now if you want to raise the seat back up, all you have to do is to pull the straps on the right and left of the clip. And you can also do that even while your little one is on the seat, pretty cool right?

Other notable features of the Groove Ultralight is its new, soft brushed water resistant fabric helps keep your child dry during light rains or when water is accidentally poured into its canopy. Worried on getting too much heat exposure from the sun? Don’t be! It’s well pretty obvious that with its oversize canopy gets your little kid covered and with its UPF 50 provides the utmost sun protection.

There’s also a peek-a-boo window that allows you to keep an eye on your child at all times. While for added convenience, you can find 2 cup holders in place where you can safely put your water bottle in one holder and a cup of coffee on the other. And as you all know, traveling with your baby means bringing loads of stuff and Joovy knows that too well. There’s the common bottom basket for the diaper bags, a zippered storage pocket to securely keep your keys, phone and other valuables, and 2 more mesh seat pockets make it easier to reach for bottles, snacks and toys.

New Groove Ultralight has upgraded wheels for more improved pushing and maneuvering through narrow aisles. While the 4-wheel suspension makes the ride less bumpier! Its footrest has wide coverage and can be adjusted to 2 positions to the comfort of your child.

I like how the New Groove sports a high quality water-repellent polyester fabric for stronger durability and easier to keep it clean due to better resistance against stain. While tall parents will love this for its tall ergonomic handles make pushing and turning stress-free. For my husband who is 6 feet tall can finally kiss goodbye to sore backs as he can easily operate the stroller without so much bending.

Now if you feel like going out for an after dinner stroll with your dearest child? The New Groove Ultralight makes a good companion, as it has safety reflectors that will illuminate at night and glows in the dark.

Despite carrying the name “Ultralight”, the New Groove isn’t exactly the lightest in the market or even on this list. And it is noticeably a bit bulkier, so carrying this around for long periods straight, even with a shoulder strap, can get quite tedious. Regardless, the New Groove still folds down to manageable size. Plus I feel that the extra weight and bulkiness is most likely due to its tougher construction and more features to showcase.

Its folding and auto lock mechanism works wonderful. It folds up and down nicely that can even stay standing on its own while folded. And if you ever feel like making an investment, this is a good start since this can accommodate newborns and with proper care, can last until your baby is more than 55 pounds or big enough not to need one.

For a mid-price range, it’s actually available for just under 200 bucks, but sometimes you can catch this on a discounted price which will make this even more value for money! So you better hurry up and take advantage of this large discount from Amazon. You can even get this delivered to your doorstep for free.

The New Groove Ultralight is a fantastic medium-sized stroller that packs more power and functionalities than lighter strollers. Most important of all, this makes a great investment for its newborn-ready design limited to only few strollers and mostly expensive ones. So instead of buying cheap strollers that easily breaks again and again, you can save more in the long run when all you need is a New Groove!

Maxi-Cosi Dana Stroller: best travel system convertible

Similar to the Joovy New Groove, the Maxi-Cosi Dana is newborn ready, but more specially designed for infants. It has more cool features and benefits that you can use with infants since the Dana also works as a travel system, meaning you can attach an infant car seat to this. While at the same time, you can still use this as a primary stroller even when your baby grows since it can also hold up a recommended maximum weight of 55 pounds. Hence, the Maxi-Cosi Dana is my choice for this year’s best umbrella Stroller Travel System convertible.

Since the Dana has a multi-position recline, its most notable feature is its ability to be in carriage mode with a full recline. This allows you to use it as a true pram. And if your kid is big enough to be able to sit on his or her own, you can switch the seat to an upright position to let your curious child get a good view of the surroundings or lean it further back for a short nap.

You also have the option to use it as a travel system with or without the stroller seat attached. This is a big help to keep your load to a minimum every time you travel with a baby especially during his or her infant stage. And since the Dana comes with the Maxi-Cosi infant car seat adapters included, you can transfer your baby from the car straight to the stroller without having to wake him or her up! You just have to purchase the actual infant car seat separately though.

Honestly, if you have the extra bucks, then go for it! This brings out the maximum capability of Dana, plus you also get to take advantage of its added convenience and versatility. The Maxi-Cosi Dana has 3 modes of applicability. First, you can use it with your child straight from birth in carriage mode. Second, you can use it as the usual stroller alone. Third, you can use it as a travel system with the car seat attached; but only if you buy its Maxi-Cosi car seat that could set you back for another 200 bucks. It’s up to you to decide which of these modes works best for your time of need.

Similar to the New Groove, Maxi-Cosi Dana boasts an extra large water resistant canopy that protects your baby direct sunlight, or from getting wet from light rains. The water just beads up and rolls off the canopy. Pretty cool indeed! Its canopy also has a peek–a-boo window to keep an eye on your baby while on the go.

Dana’s seat has a soft-cushion so your baby will have a comfy ride despite having to sit for long hours. Plus, its headrest is adjustable to the liking of your child. On the other hand, you can also remove its seat cushion to have a better airflow and keep your baby cool during the extra hot days.

Maxi-Cosi is also within the safety standards by equipping the seat with a 5-point padded harness system to keep your baby comfortable and secured at the same time. It has a puzzle lock so your baby won’t be able to accidentally unlock it. It’s also complete with the usual extras such a parent cup holder and a big storage basket. I appreciate how the basket is spacious enough to fit in a number of bags for your trips.

It has lockable front wheels that swivel and suspension at the rear wheels that makes maneuvering this easy and without a hitch. It also has a foot brake that adds more convenience and safety.

While Maxi-Cosi Dana is quite more expensive for just under $250, it’s well-justified seeing how much more it brings to the table. It covers all the basics of an umbrella stroller, plus more functionality that truly caters to infant’s needs. You never have to miss out on those travels and outdoor bonding moments. After all, your baby is ensured to have a safe and cozy ride with the Maxi-Cosi Dana stroller.

If you truly desire an umbrella stroller and travel system in 1, but finds its price tag to be totally out of your budget. You may want to check out the Grace Breaze Click Connect. Its price may be more up to your alley.

Maclaren Twin Triumph: best twin umbrella stroller

When it comes to baby strollers, Maclaren is a luxury brand every parent would be proud to own! But if you have 2 kids, buying 2 Maclaren’s might leave a hole in your wallet. So instead, why don’t we just opt for a double or twin umbrella stroller, more specifically a Maclaren Twin Triumph. The Maclaren Twin Triumph is actually the replaced version of the popular Maclaren Rally Twin which was introduced in 2007. Although the Twin Triumph has already been around few years back, it is now reintroduce for its improved model.

It features Maclaren’s classic one-handed umbrella fold mechanism and a step on brake system, which are easy and convenient to use. It is a big turnaround on the side-slide brakes that Maclaren buggies had few years ago. The Twin Triumph is actually the ‘budget’ twin pushchair of Maclaren. Honestly, I picked this for my best twin stroller choice because I feel that its features cover all that you’ll need for a stroller. But if you really want all the cool details and upgrades, the Techno will be your best bet. The Techno however was released late last year and will set you back for another hundred bucks.

Focusing on the Twin Triumph, it actually weighs lighter at about 22 pounds. Having 2 kids along the trip means carrying about twice the stuff you usually bring with you. Lifting a double stroller in and out of the car or up and down flights of stairs is going to be a challenge. So it’s really a great help to have a stroller that is not heavy. This is where the Triumph comes in.

Considering it combines 2 strollers in 1, its weight is not heavy at all. Pushing two hefty toddlers around won’t be a problem at all! With its light and compact design that can fit standard doorways, it makes traveling with two a breeze. While at the same time, it’s great for storing indoors since it doesn’t take up too much space.

Maclaren Twin Triumph works well for twins, toddlers and babies starting from 6 months of age. It can carry a recommended weight up to 110 pounds. What’s pretty cool and I love about this is despite having two strollers attached together, they can work quite independently. So even if you have a toddler on one seat and a baby on the other seat, that’s totally fine. You can adjust the seats’ recline separately.

It can also be reclined in several positions, capable of reclining enough for infants as well as holds 2 or 4 year old toddlers. And since each seat reclines independently, it provides mood options for the little passengers. One of your babies can sleep while the other can sit up and enjoy the ride. Its seat is also fully-padded with built-in leg support cushion for a cozier ride.

Navigation with the Triumph won’t give you any headache as well. The wheels swivel and are lockable. Combined with its light aluminium frame, this makes it easy to maneuver even through tight doorways or going uphill. The stroller doesn’t have a central handle, but does have ergonomically-angled handles on each side for better grip and control. Not to mention, they are nicely padded too so it’s comfy to touch.

Both seats have two mesh basket style storage and built-in pockets in the back. So, the Twin Triumph manages to hold more stuff given there are more baby essentials to bring as well. If you’re on a family outing, you can even store some chips, juice packs and other snack items in there to save some dollars than buying in the resort or amusement parks. But much like most strollers, you have to empty the storage bins first before you can fold the stroller back up.

Its folding mechanism is very simple, quick and easy to do one-handed. Although, few people had some difficulty folding it down while wearing flip-flops or open-toed shoes. But if you really can’t help wearing flip-flops, don’t worry, you can still fold it down. It’s just a matter of getting the hang of it so try practicing for a bit first.

Both seats also have a 5 point safety harness to keep both of your children safe in place. However, they can be quite tricky to undo. You have to hit the sides of the button as you undo the belt.

Each seat is provided with a separate hood, which are really nice and deep. Both canopies are waterproof and have extendable UPF 50+ for better protection from the sun, wind or other elements. A premium wind-resistant raincover is also included, which easily fits over both seats simultaneously. It has clips on each side to keep it secure once folded.

Even though this is the budget version of a Maclaren, I still find it more appealing and higher quality than other cheap twin umbrella strollers. It’s made of fine materials with little flex and high thread-count fabric. All pieces fit perfectly well to ensure durability and sturdiness. It got all your necessities covered, plus few pretty cool features you’ll love. And not one function will you find it useless, so it’s worth every penny. The Twin Triumph is a sure winner in our hearts and will leave nothing but good impression!

2 Best Umbrella Stroller Travel Systems Grow with Your Baby

best umbrella stroller travel systems

After the day we gave birth to our sweet little angel, the number of times we go out have surely gone down. For obvious reasons, we can’t really leave our child alone in the house or the thought of bringing such a young infant could spell a disaster. We have to carry our baby while having to bring our own personal stuffs and essential baby items!

But inevitably, we have to go out from time to time because staying in the house all day isn’t exactly good for either you or the baby. Going out can mean just having that leisurely stroll around the park or even just around the block, to getting some groceries at the supermarket, to getting your dry-cleaning. The point is, having a child definitely does not mean you have to stop going out! It’s great for your baby because your little one gets to experience the different things found in the outside world. There are tons of things to stimulate the child; fresh air and a little of sun exposure can also be good for your baby’s health! While for parents like us, we get to see our child’s experience, do our household errands as well as having a few nice conversations with friends or random acquaintances we eventually bump into while we’re out!

We can all do these with the help of a travel system, since we can have a stroller for our long walks while having an infant car seat will secure them inside the car. And here’s the best part, there are now tons of great travel systems that are paired with an umbrella stroller! You can get the best out of a travel system without worrying on having to bring a heavy stroller. So I’ve round up 3 of the best umbrella stroller travel systems that will help ease the burden of taking your baby out with you and, with proper care, will surely stick around until your baby no longer needs them.

I am, however, only going to discuss the umbrella stroller that allows it to be a travel system. You may opt to buy it with an infant car seat or not, but doing so will maximize what these strollers can do and may also save you more bucks when you buy them together.

The Reviews

Graco Breaze Click Connect Stroller

Graco Breaze Click Connect Stroller has caught my attention since 2015 and continues to make a buzz ever since. The Graco Breaze will surely make an easy outdoor buddy for you and your baby. This umbrella stroller has a sturdy built that can withstand wear and tear with proper care, so it’s here to stay from the time you used it with your baby until he or she grows up old enough to not need one. It is after all designed to accommodate newborns, most especially if you buy this as a travel system which includes the infant car seat, until your kid reaches its weight limit of 50 pounds. Even a heavy preschooler can probably still ride this, as long as it still looks and holds up pretty fine. It is fuss-free and easy to use, making this is as one of the best umbrella stroller travel system especially for new and anxious parents.

When it comes to ease of use, this is the way to go. If you have a small frame and little to no physical strength like me, handling it will be no problem at all. For about 17 pounds, it’s definitely not the lightest, but the weight is still manageable and proves that it is heavy duty . The materials used has solid frame and thick fabric that can withstand some rough handling.

It maneuvers well, folds with a  simple push and pull on 2 buttons and its overall size is just right. You can carry the Graco Breaze umbrella stroller around and into the car as easily as any regular umbrella strollers. It also folds small enough that it can fit it into the trunk of a hatchback car. You can even handle it with just one hand if needed. This comes in very handy and offers a lot of help and convenience when it comes to buying your daily groceries on your own.

The Graco Breaze Click Connect Stroller boasts its features that allows it to “grow” with your child from birth even without the infant car seat, which is what I like the most about it. To further explain, some umbrella stroller units only have two positions but this one is highly adjustable with multi positions recline which includes laying completely flat! The calf support  is also adjustable to comfortably support an infant then adjust it to accommodate a toddler as time goes by. It also has a roomy seat that will allow your little tot to grow into it. When it comes to safety issues, it also got your baby covered. It has 5 point safety harness to tightly secure your little one then convert it to 3 point as your child grows bigger.

As a travel system, you can use this with any Graco click connect car seats, which is great if you have newborns and if you don’t want to wake your baby up during and after the travel period. Upon arrival of your destination, you can just take the car seat with you and connect it to the stroller without disturbing your baby from his or her sleep since the car seat can just snap right in! It’s definitely a two thumbs up for me!

Additional details that I came to like are its oversized canopy which gives UV 50+ protection. That’s plenty of shade and had proven handy during outdoor nap times. Its canopy also has a cute peek-a-boo window which is a nice touch to let you check on your little tot every now and then. The extra-large storage basket underneath can fit your diaper bag and some more baby essentials.

Although there are just a few things I like to take note of. First off is its breaks which can get a little tricky as you have to make sure the wheels align correctly. The one-step brake feature is convenient but takes getting used to. But once the front-swivel wheels have their locks on, it will never fail you. Another thing is the cup holder found on the side. It can get stuck on tight grocery spaces which is a little annoying, but over-all, still manageable. The Graco Breaze package doesn’t come with a child tray, but only a parent cup holder and basket. So if you find needing one, you will have to buy it separately. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t consider this a deal breaker since majority of umbrella strollers don’t include child trays as well. Furthermore, this umbrella stroller’s features are far superior for its price range.

If you’re planning on buying just the stroller, the Graco Breaze Click Connect Stroller is available for not more than $150 with free shipping and returns from Amazon. Although, you can save a bit more if you buy them as a travel system for not more than $220. The Graco Breaze is well-praised and a tough contender to beat, with even receiving a high rating of 4.7 starts out of 5. It is a must buy and simply the best umbrella stroller travel system at a great price!

Maxi-Cosi Kaia Stroller

Another great umbrella stroller that can also works as travel system is the Maxi-Cosi Kaia. They’ve been around the scene for quite some time now but isn’t one of the top of the mind strollers in the market. But it definitely packs a lot of potential to be one. If you’re really out for a 2 in 1 light stroller, this is one impeccable stroller that you shouldn’t miss out.  Although it is not the lightest for an umbrella stroller, its 15 pounds of weight, surely is still light enough that won’t go in your way when travelling. It’s also one of the only available strollers that can accept an infant car seat without being heavy at all.

The maneuverability and ease of use of this one is a game changer! If you find yourself having second thoughts on bringing a stroller on your vacation or on any long trips because the ones you have before are heavy and bulky, add to that your young infant and luggages; you find yourself hands full and no more room for extra baggage. Well, that will be all in the past once you get yourself a Kaia stroller. The wheels turned nicely, it handled bumps and dips in the sidewalks or streets with ease. The foot break comes in very handy and easy to use. And while it was easy to push/maneuver with both hands, I wish it had a crossbar steering handle so you could push it one-handed.

Kaia Maxi-Cosi is commendable as it’s compact and you can rely on it to hold your child and provide an extra hand in carrying some of your bags at the bottom basket or hang it on its handle. It won’t tip over easily, just make sure not to hang heavy bags on its handle. The space between the basket and seat is large enough to be able to access it from the side when the child is on the seat. It is definitely one that you could easily travel with on air or take on the road without a huge hassle.

As a travel system, it can be used with a Maxi-Cosi Mico Nxt or the Mico AP infant car seat. The adapter used to connect these car seats is already included in the package which is pretty awesome! You’d also appreciate how easy it is to put together. The Kaia is the easiest in its class to collapse and reassemble, the hallmark of what the best umbrella stroller travel system should be. Folding it might feel overwhelming to some at first but once you get used to it, it becomes a breeze. It takes just one pop of the back foot lock and then just squeeze the handles and the whole thing folds up into a nice compact package, one that even stands upright on its own. I always find this as one the “nice to have” features because it brings convenience and prevents the stroller from getting dirtied as you don’t have to lay it down on the floor while you load your bags inside the car.

What I really like about Kaia is the 5 point harness buckle on the stroller that was a bit different than most of the other buckles on car seats or strollers. This one was interlocking, like a puzzle-piece, which made it much harder for my toddler to undo by himself. I didn’t have any problem with it at all while I liked it that he had a harder time unbuckling himself. Maybe this will keep him in the stroller and comfortably restrained. I definitely say, this safety feature is a plus point.

The Kaia can fit your little kid of up to 50 lbs. of weight. That’s pretty much the standard nowadays and still leaves you a lot of room for your baby to grow. This stroller also has an extended leg rest and foot rest that can be adjusted as needed. This is sturdy enough to seat my four year old toddler; he can even fall asleep on it comfortably.

I love the flash of color, it is fierce and do stand out well. Most models sport solid colors, though there are two that have prints on them. But I love the intense red that you’ll easily get fond of because it’s truly eye-catching and makes your baby stands out. It’s bright and looks polished. You can also check out the all black unit for a classic touch.

If there’s one thing I’d like it to improve on, that would be its reclining capabilities. This one can lay flat so you can’t use this with newborns. So you should only use this if your child is already six months of age or if they can already sit up on their own. Otherwise, I highly recommend that you buy this with the infant car seats to fully maximize what this can do. Also, you get better value for your money if you buy them together than separately.

The stroller alone will costs you between $160 to $250, but you can avail it with the Mico as a travel system, it will be available at an average of 300 bucks, still with free shipping of course in Amazon. It also garnered a positive score of 4.5 stars out of 5 which is clearly proves that this is one of the best umbrella stroller travel system. With proper care and all, this can be your only stroller for your newly born baby until he or she outgrows it. Thus, this makes for a great investment in the long run!

So there we have it. Space and weight savings is a must and these umbrella stroller travel system do deliver. Easy to push and maneuver are also handy during strolls and errands with a lot of foot work. You’ll be impressed how smooth the ride will be while using them. Both are manageable even while under uneven pavement, sand or grass. The light stroller makes our leisure walks fun. These 2 have checks on all the right places! They have what we always need and want to have for an umbrella stroller with an additional perk of becoming a travel system. They’re both compact when folded and unfolded, safe, economical and practical for travel in terms of convenience and weight. If you are looking for the best umbrella stroller travel system that takes as little room as possible and does the job, these ones are it. Baby Trend Rocket: for the Low price range

The first time I got a glimpse on the Baby Trend Rocket had reminded me so much of the First Years Ignite that were so popular before, it was also the first umbrella stroller I bought for my kid. Seeing how reminiscent it is with the Ignite we loved so much, it was easy to fall for this one as well. I won’t even be surprised if it is just as successful. It also sports an all black design for a classic and sleek look. The Baby Trend Rocket stroller is the best buy for moms and dads who are on a tight budget. Having used other stroller brands for my two children, I can say that this stroller is among the top picks in the market for its price range. This trusty Baby Trend Rocket stroller can survive months and even years of rough handling and will be useful for your everyday errands. I have tried other light weight strollers in the past and they tend to bend and break after some time. This stroller was compact and sturdy enough for our daily outdoor activities.

I really appreciate that it didn’t compromise on the necessities and got all the useful basics  and few extras covered such as a canopy, comfort grip handle, 5 point harness, bottom basket for storage, and parent organizer that can hold a cup/water bottle, snacks and keys. Additionally, the organizer has a zippered compartment for keeping other valuables safe. It’s nice to have this compartment especially considering its price since most of the time, the parent organizers are separate from the strollers that it will cost you extra just to have it. Being a safety-conscious mother, I’m impressed that this stroller has a foot-activated dual-rear parking brake feature to ensure that the stroller will be in place when we stop on our tracks or need to let go of the strollers while loading the groceries inside the car. The brakes and wheels are reliable to ensure our kids are safe and prevent unnecessary accidents. Also, this is has good maneuverability so it’s easy to push and steer.

The Baby Trend Rocket is easy to fold/unfold. It is also still lightweight at 13 lbs., I can fold and carry it on one hand. Assembling the unit is easy, first time moms can even put this together with the help of your man. Impress them that you can also handle the tools, lol! The height of this stroller is sufficient for me, I am 5’4” by the way. I don’t have to worry on having a sore back from hunching over to push this thing for a whole day trip. But I think the height of the handle bars will take a little getting used to for taller users.

If you’re looking for a stroller that has a lot of reclining capabilities though, this may Localizationbecome a bit of a deal breaker for you. The seat is designed on one position without much recline so it’s only suitable for infants who can already sit on their own. Nevertheless, even my four-year-old can still fit comfortably in the stroller. Another thing that can be improved upon is the canopy. There might not be much coverage for your kid when the sun is at its peak. But if these aren’t big issues to you, I’d still recommend this stroller considering its sturdiness, lightness, other features and its affordability.

The Baby Trend Rocket has an attractive price of not more than 50 bucks that also offered with free shipping and returns from Amazon. So far, the parents who have also bought this find great satisfaction and gave it a rating of 4.5 stars out 5. In the end, this is the best umbrella strollers 2016 for its class. This is a no frills stroller but will do the needed job for you for a great value on money!

Top Choices in Quality Mid-Price Strollers

Two stroller models caught my attention for our middle-priced category this time. Each has their own merits and may seem better than the other. But both are tried and tested to be useful, hence, I decided to recommend both of them.

Summer Infant 3D One

Continuing on the success of the well-loved 3D Lite stroller line last 2015, Summer Infant 3D One was released recently this 2016. I can see that Summer Infant has retained all the well-loved features of 3D Lite while tweaking some on its body and added improved features, making the 3D One model an even better choice this year. As compared to the 3D Lite, Summer Infant 3D One has a larger canopy, a peek-a-boo window and sturdier body and wheels, while maintaining a weight that is still light to carry. Add to that the full recline feature that Summer Infant has incorporated to it this time and we are sold!

I really appreciate the smooth ride and its maneuverability, features usually found in a full size stroller. Combined with its lightweight frame at thirteen pounds of aluminum, Summer Infant 3D One is the most convenient, compact and durable stroller at the mid-priced range.

This unit has three different recline positions, including a full-recline which makes it truly convenient for your little one to sleep anytime. Its reclining capabilities are well-paired with its adjustable foot rest, making this an even sweeter deal! The 3D One is surely to stick around for quite a while as it almost feels like it’s growing along with your baby since you can adjust its footrest as your baby grows taller. The seat also doesn’t feel cramp so you got your kid a lot of space for growing.  I also love that it includes a small pocket for necessities, a cup holder for drinks, and a roomy storage basket at the bottom. I found the stroller highly maneuverable through tight spaces, very comfortable with ergonomically oriented handles, and very easy to fold up and throw in the trunk, with one hand of course. There’s also a shoulder strap to help you carry it around when it’s folded easier. That’s a bonus and a nice attention to detail this time.

As I said earlier, the canopy is huge! The competition for the top umbrella strollers with big canopies just become stiffer. Its canopy includes a hidden extension which does a great job blocking the sun and rain, providing better protection against UV and UVB rays, while also having a peek-a-boo window so I can keep an eye on my little kid. It is convenient that I can see him at any angle, since with other stroller models, I keep on leaning sideways just to check on how he’s doing or if he is awake. A parent can never be too cautious and I like that five-point harness was strong and easy to buckle and open, but is still be complicated enough for my 18 month old to unbuckle himself. The harness is also padded by the way, for added comfort to our active kids.

The only downside I can think of for this unit is it’s price. It’s slightly more expensive than the 3D Lite, but if you want the best for your kid by providing a more comfortable stroller with larger canopy that can cover your baby at full recline with adjustable footrest, this is totally worth the extra cost. So overall, I think this is still an excellent pick. Normally, it’s around $130, but you can avail this for as low as hundred bucks in Amazon with free shipping and returns as always. It’s still new but shows a lot of promising that it received a 4.5 stars out of 5 rating. This has superb features for a mid-priced stroller that proves to be a smart buy in its class, which makes it THE ONE for you! get it?

Inglesina Trip Stroller

Next on my list is the Inglesina Trip. The Inglesina Trip line has been around since 2013,  but it has been constantly improved year by year. And true enough, it can still solidly hold its ground against newer models in terms of functionality and its fair price. In fact, there are other costlier brands in the market that are not as complete and as comfortable as this; yet the Trip is affordable enough and still looks fancy.

The Inglesina Trip stroller is durable and perfectly made for the outdoors, hence the name “Trip”. But it’s there just for a name because with the past strollers Inglesina had produced, which I’ve also used, they had proven that even with a year share of rough handling and rough roads from them, it still in admirable form and works without a hitch. And this one is no different! Its design is also commendable, you’d surely get compliments from other parents for its beauty.

At 14.5 lbs., the Inglesina Trip is mid-weight as there are others that are really lighter than this. But as the weight is compromised, it delivered more features for your convenience and comfort of your child. It now looks and feels more heavy-duty but is compact enough and putting it together is really quick and effortless. Plus, I don’t think its weight will be  an issue. It may not be very light, but it’s also way not too heavy to carry or put it in or out of your car’s trunk. It also has a handle by the way so you won’t have to worry where to hold it when picking it up when folded. You should also stay away from strollers that are really light but becomes way too flimsy that it might easily topple over even with your kid sitting on it.

The Trip can be folded and unfolded with just one hand but may take some getting used to. With the instruction manual provided, I was able to assemble it in a few minutes. The wheels and suspension absorbs the usual impact, which means the ride will be much less bumpy. Even if your sweet one’s a light sleeper, he or she will hardly notice any type of unanticipated impact when strolling at coarse grounds. The wheels are bigger than the average which means its outdoor performance is much superior. Some parents have noticed that the wheel would occasionally squeak, which can be a bit annoying, but you’ll get used to it over time. What’s important is that the wheels won’t be jammed during stroll, runs nicely and you can maneuver it with one hand like the Inglesina Trip.

Its four-position backrest can be reclined completely. Although, you have to use both hands and you probably can’t adjust its recline while your baby sits on it. Better to adjust it to the position you want first before you put your baby inside for precautionary measures. I appreciate its snug seat and adjustable footrest. The seat is also spacious that even my 3 year old can still fit inside. So if you have 2 toddlers, your older one might still plead to take turns with his/her younger sibling to rest on the stroller, you  will have to think of another excuse since you won’t be able to use the “you’re too big for the stroller” line on them.

The built-in canopy is large enough and adjustable, with a cute peek-a-boo details that will let you check on how your kid is doing. The canopy provides enough coverage under the sun and is water-proof enough for light rain showers. I love how this model comes with a massive amount of storage space this time, truly useful during outdoor day trips. The top inner storage permits small items which can include drinking bottles, snacks, wallet, cell phone and keys. The bottom mesh area is able to stash a bunch such as diaper bags, grocery items, food containers and everything else.

Aside from the stroller’s make and function, it has the 5 point harness system which has always been on my check list when it comes to safety. And not only did the Inglesina Trip has this safety feature, it takes up the notch by also putting a bumper bar. For a safety-conscious parent like me, this is definitely a nice add-on. This will help keep your active babies in place and will allow them to hold on to something or rest their hands during the long walks. Seat straps are adjustable and affix effortlessly. With that said, the Inglesina Trip has different recline positions, adjustable footrest and adjustable seat straps; these mean that the Trip will be yours to keep even as your baby aged. This stroller can adjust to how much your kid can grow, and hopefully it can stick around until you and your child won’t need one.

Put next to most other costly strollers, this stroller is indeed a good takeaway and can hold its ground among the best umbrella strollers 2016. It actually costs around $200 but you can get a huge discount over Amazon and get it at not more than $150. Thus, this is truly a good buy considering its price yet has the luxury feel to it!

Maclaren XLR: for the high-end price range

Moving on to the high-end prams, Maclaren XLR is the hands-down number one choice of parents. Just by the brand itself, every moms and dads already know that Maclaren holds the luxury crown, much like how Apple is the king in smart phones. Although Maclaren also has middle priced range of strollers, Maclaren Techno XLR is said to be the crème de la crème in all of their series and what every parent has longed to have (if it just weren’t for the price). And as I tell you more about it, you can finally see why this unit has a gained a lot of following.

It looks great and moves easily; feels sturdy and heavy duty. I definitely recommend it to new parents who want to invest on a reliable pushchair that will last for a long time; this one won’t easily break. It might even last for a decade, well I’m probably pushing it too far, but definitely with proper care, this could be just the umbrella stroller you’ll need to have until your baby grows old enough not to need one!

This amazing product has the right components needed to safely and securely hold your little angel. With a weight of 17.4 pounds, this is not the lightest among the whole bunch on this list. But because of the extra heft in the XLR, comes the extra features you can’t normally find from low to average umbrella strollers. It is made of aircraft grade aluminum alloy so no questions needed when it comes to durability. It can withstand wear and tear for many years. The XLR can hold a maximum weight of your child of up to 55 pounds. The extra strength and wider seat can sit even the biggest toddlers comfortably.

The fabric is easy to clean and dry, since it’s removable by the way so can take it off to put it on the washers. The quilted fabric wears its classy and signature look so from afar, you can easily tell it’s a Maclaren. There’s plenty of head room even for a six year old.

This unit also has the safety features to keep my three-year old escape artist tied and secure. It is not just a 5-point harness but also a padded one, a nice touch to it. The heavy-duty buckle is no cheap piece of plastic; it is a serious piece of work that won’t break or wear out over time. The buckle is proven child-proof! To release the straps you must press on both the outside and inside of the circular buckle, and you have to press quite firmly. I have yet to find another brand that offers this attention to a child’s safety. For additional protection in the evenings or early morning walks, it has reflective accents on the sides of the hood so that drivers can see the pushchair more easily in the dark. You won’t lose it in the dark as well. The all-wheel suspension helps absorb some of those bumps along your way. The brakes are linked so that stepping on one pedal will engage the brakes over both rear wheels, you just have to lift up the lever to disengage. All these makes the Maclaren Techno XLR the safest stroller model that I had encountered so far.

Maclaren Techno XLR enhanced all the stroller features that we always loved on other brands.  I like how its canopy is much better than the other Maclaren’s since it’s bigger and more multi-functional. Its UPF+50 hood has a clear sun visor tucked in the underside that you can easily pop out for extra protection against harmful UV rays. The XLR also includes a wind resistant rain cover, so you’re little cutie is not only covered during sunny days but also covered during the rainy season. Then at the back, you can unzip an additional panel bringing the canopy even farther down for complete sun blockage. Keeping an eye on your little passenger with the clear viewing window at the top of the canopy is a breeze. The Maclaren Techno XLR also comes with an additional quilted seat liner and a cushioned head hugger support for an infant. In fact, you can use this with newborns since it can also recline to full flat.

As with other strollers, this model has a few downsides. Some petite mothers remarked that the handles on this stroller came up to their chest which is a bit high for their liking. However for some, this sounds like a good news especially for tall parents. The height of the handles are adjustable which is more reason for tall moms and dads to get this so they can say goodbye to sore backs and enjoy a day trip with their kids. The Maclaren Techno XLR  claims to have an oversized basket underneath the seat, which is truly large enough to carry your baby essentials and few extras such as your groceries. Once the seat is fully reclined though, it becomes slightly harder to reach for your items at the bottom. Good thing that it has a zipper on the side of the basket to help ease access. But if all of your things can’t fit the basket in the end, more storage can be found on the back of the canopy which is a mesh pocket and a pocket with a Velcro closure. Just the right size for some keys and a cell phone.

All in all, the price of a Maclaren Techno XLR can be hefty at around 450$ but its features and durability that can withstand time make it all worth it. To make this even awesome, head over to Amazon and you might get a chance of buying this at a discounted price of not more than $345 with free shipping and returns. With just a few clicks and this will be delivered straight to your doorstep. It’s a sweet deal that you shouldn’t miss. In the end, even if it may seem pricey right now, in the long run, the Techno XLR will stick around and be of use until all of our children have outgrown it. It’s an investment that will bring value to your purchase, hands-down the best umbrella strollers 2016!

Uppababy G-Link Stroller: best twin umbrella stroller

Uppababy came out strong in the market and has been one of the most well-loved and known brands for pushchairs. Their Uppababy G-luxe was a huge success and continues to awe more parents. And now, this model is available for two in one! Confused? Don’t be, because the greatness of the G-Luxe is now available as twin strollers in the form of the Uppababy G-link! The new G-Link came out late 2015 and is now making a buzz this year as it got features that checks on all the right places. In a nutshell, this model is very similar to the popular G-Luxe 2015, designed as if 2 G-Luxe strollers were stuck side-by-side.

The G-Link was made for two but its weight is still surprisingly light. The whole thing weighs just about 24.5 pounds! Although I’ve encountered several double umbrella strollers that are close to G-Link’s weight. I have yet to see a lighter twin stroller that is as feature-packed and as sturdy as the G-Link, thus made this pretty impressive. In terms of appearance, you will find 3 most prominent colors which are black, gray and jade. As much as I’m a fan of black for its classy look; for this one though, I’m going with the Jade for its reminiscent look of the G-Luxe which is also a signature look from the Uppababy. Having an Uppababy pushchairs is something we, parents, can be proud of; so it’s nice to have it recognized quickly from afar.

The seats are multi-position and can be fully reclined, and it has two head inserts to support infant twin’s small heads. For a newborn you can lift up the leg rest and use attached snap-on mesh located underneath the leg rest to provide more enclosed environment. So what’s good with it is we can use this for a longer period since it’s capable to be used even with newborns while others should only be used for 6 months of age or babies that sit up straight on their own. I see it also has a very useful feature that will keep the baby’s blanket in place. At the same time, it has a very deep one-hand recline for a newborn and adjustable leg rest. While it does NOT have a travel system option, the seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 50 lbs per each seat.

This stroller has a lightweight aluminum frame, enhancing effortless maneuverability either indoors or outdoors. UPPAbaby G-Link Stroller has been designed lightly having four sets of wheels as compared to traditional twin strollers that have six wheels. Also, its 5.75-inch wheels offer not only greater performance but also greater stability. This makes it an awesome and one of the best double umbrella stroller in its class as this one is durable and does not require a lot of energy to push around. Having two kids around the outdoors would drain you so fast that it’s a great life-saver to have any way we can to conserve our energy!

UPPAbaby G-Link Stroller might be made for two but it can be folded just as easily as a single stroller do. It has been designed in a way that makes it very easy to fold and in within a very short time without the need of foot action. Once it is folded it is nearly as wide as a single stroller, it can even stand on its own without the need of supporting. I’m loving those kinds since it helps keep the stroller from getting dirtied easily; thus adds protection to our baby from  contacting germs when sitting on it. Once it is folded you can store it in tight spaces as well.

Since steering can get heavy if you have two on tow, stopping abruptly still comes easy with its single action brake. Once you brake, this stroller has lockable front wheels to offer better stability when it stops, so you should not have to worry when you leave your kids on it.

Uppababy G-Link has the best features that you will really need ranging from its impressive, easy to open removable canopy with a view window, lightweight design, and adjustable footrests to quick and simple fold with stands that support it when folded. Its canopy is generously-sized with peekaboo windows for each chair with SPF 50+ sunshades that block out harmful sun rays. It can also accommodate tall toddlers since the seat is very roomy with a canopy height of 26 inch. G-link is approximately 30 inch wide so it should fit through most doorways and even tight grocery aisles without a hitch. Surprisingly, the seat width didn’t suffer so both of kids have enough space.

Another thing that I love about the G-Link is its 5-point harness. Each seat comes with an adjustable non-padded 5-point harness with a center release buckle. The buckles are tried and tested as “child-proof”. Even with your baby fiddling with it, it will not plop open so it’s secure enough to take off some worries from an anxious parent like you and me. The G-link has two handle bars that are located at each sides. While they are not adjustable, I think this is a good average height that should work for most parents. The handle bars are ergonomically positioned and are covered with soft foam. The G-link has combined two baskets together to make one big basket. This is very handy for us since bigger storage means more convenience for us! We don’t have to carry heavy items as we can just put diaper packs, baby essentials and groceries there!

The features G-Link offers are undeniably attractive and useful for us parents, but there’s one thing that chases quite a handful of parents away as well – and that is its hefty price tag. Costing between 499$ to $530, the UPPAbaby G-Link Stroller doesn’t come cheap. It’s almost as good as if we’re buying 2 G-Luxe, but with the convenience of handling one stroller that can accommodate our 2 kids. But to be fair, there are other twin strollers in the market that are also close to the same price range. While there are also others that cost lesser, they lack in the functions department. Thus, G-link has its own merits for its price. Getting the G-Link means paying for more of what it can do while also paying a bit of premium for its brand that ensures quality and safety.

If you want something similar to G-link’s performance but for a cheaper price, you may want to consider the Maclaren Twin Triumph, which you can read my review for it here. But if you’re really on a tight budget, with not more than hundred bucks, the Kolcraft Cloud Side by Side Umbrella Stroller might be the best option for you!

Maclaren Volo: lightest choice

Maclaren is on the roll! Not only did we have 2 Maclaren’s on the list, but a Maclaren also snatched the top spot for the best lightweight umbrella stroller last year with their Maclaren Mark II. This year, they made a revamp on Maclaren Volo, making this the best choice for lightest pushchair in the market for 2016.

Whenever parents are looking for the lightest and most durable stroller, the Maclaren brand stands out. Lightweight, compact and easily maneuverable, the Volo continues the tradition and proves itself as the lightest in its class at 9.7 pounds. Make no mistake, as with its mere weight, the Maclaren Volo can still hold a child up to 55 pounds! That tells a lot considering as most lightweight strollers tend to be flimsy and can usually just hold up to 40 to 45 pounds. But the Volo is different and most definitely better.

Some parents want only the basics and there is something beautiful about simple functionality. Couple that with the fact that there is no sacrifice in quality or comfort when it comes to a Maclaren Volo umbrella stroller. Similar to its bigger brothers, Volo also has a sun canopy with SPF 50 and a flip-out visor for extra protection. The seat is made of mesh fabric to keep the air flowing and well-circulate behind baby’s back and bottom. This will be great during the extra sunny days. But for the cold season, you will need to put thicker clothes on your baby if you’re going to use this. Nevertheless, you don’t really have to worry a lot when the rain pours since this unit also comes with a wind-resistant rain cover and a water-resistant hood.

It also comes with five-point safety harness that secures baby to the seat. The handles are not adjustable but are ergonomic to grip, has high tenacity and are in the right height. It’s not too low nor too high for our average height. You also still get the handy-dandy basket underneath to put a couple of small necessities in! The Volo is made of high- tech aircraft grade aluminum chassis to ensure better durability and longevity, while at the same time, maintaining a light weight. And since it’s made of quality materials, it doesn’t get knocked over easily compared to other flimsy ones. And this will not be a Maclaren if it also does not comes with an easily-removable, machine washable seat for easy cleaning- a rare feature in the buggy industry. You can machine wash it in cold water on a delicate cycle then hang to dry.

To achieve its intended mobility, some features have to be sacrificed. The Volo is a basic umbrella stroller so the lack of full recline is no surprise. And in because of that, it is recommended to use for children who can sit on their own, or at least at six months of age. Although the seat has a fixed inclination, it is still comfortable enough to sit on and for short naps. Its other noticeable drawbacks are smaller storage and canopy when compared to the others of its price category. On the bright side, having smaller built means it’s more compact  and doesn’t take up too much which is good for storing and using it on public transports.

I recommend the Maclaren Volo for parents with kids on their toddler age. It is ideal to have lightweight pushchairs as our babies become heavier so it becomes balance and not too hard on us parents having to push a heavy stroller. However, we can’t put our trust on flimsy lightweight strollers as they easily topple over, exposing our children to higher risks of accidents or injuries. Hence, this is where the Volo comes into picture and resolves this situation. Your almost $150 bucks will be a better investment and will go a long way. Not to mention, its parts can also be easily replaced, prolonging its longevity. The Maclaren Volo will serve all the basic stroller functions while saving a lot of cargo weight and space.

>>Click to view pricing and more reviews on Maclaren Volo Stroller<<

If you want something similar but weighs even lesser than this, you may also want to consider the Maclaren Mark II. It’s competitive when it comes to weight but may costs you about 10 bucks more.

 Round up / Conclusion

There are lots of stroller brands out there so it pays to be informed. It’s good to have the newest model, but sometimes, just because it’s new, doesn’t always mean it’s the best of all time. There are still a handful of pushchairs that don’t go out of style even after several years had passed. And that’s what we want to invest in!

I will never compromise my child’s comfort and safety for a few dollars saved on a sub-par pram. As for my kids, I will always choose one with great features at a competitive price, and from a reputable brand. If you are unsure on what to choose, think of you and your baby’s needs first then consider your budget. This will help narrow down your choices and when you’ve set your eyes on a few, you can do more research, read what others have to say, or even try asking your smart kid (if they’re old enough to speak) what they want. Little tots can be the best stroller critique out there. Ask for their opinion and you might be surprised! If you also chance upon an item you like at a discounted rate, grab it before it disappeared.

Best Umbrella Strollers for Big Kids and Growing Baby

best umbrella strollers for big kids

There really is no other feeling like taking care of your precious little baby. The way they just stay in their cribs – crying, laughing, and keeping us awake through the night. It’s tiring, devastating and amazing all at the same time. We can’t help but watch them as they sleep wondering what sort of life they’ll have years from now, which seems almost like a lifetime away. You then silently hope to yourself that they stay this way forever; this moody, innocent, bundle of joy – from their round little head, down to their teeny tiny toes.

Maybe for some of us, we try to picture this moment and freeze it into our minds. It’s something we just want to try to remember until the day we die. There is absolutely no feeling like this in the world – an immense inexplicable joy only to be matched by an equal sadness upon the realization that these little babies will grow whether we like it or not. They’re going to become moody, crazy kids that will drive you up the wall. Such is the life of any parent. After all, things change and we must change with it – down to the very last detail. That includes even the things we constantly use. Today, I’m going to be talking about one of those essentials that we have to change as well, and it’s the best umbrella strollers for big kids.

We have to remember that we can’t keep using that adorable little stroller we used to use when the baby was months old. Kids grow up and unless your little baby stroller can stretch out, you have to get another one for your big kid! There is no denying that this phase in a parent’s life is truly bittersweet, but it won’t be fun when your umbrella stroller can barely hold it together with your older child.

Overview of the Best Umbrella Strollers for Big Kids

When you finally decide to go out and get a new umbrella stroller for your big kid, you have to have some sort of criteria to follow to make sure you don’t make a bad purchase! The last thing you need is more clutter in the house, after all. So when you do go shopping for umbrella strollers, make sure that your choice is going to be as usual:

First, compact and light. It just won’t do if you can barely push your stroller or fold it up or store it somewhere when it’s just too heavy and bulky! Pick one with reasonable weight and a frame that’s easy to handle and fold. Second, the umbrella stroller has to have all the safety countermeasures for your baby to stay secure. This includes a sturdy but comfortable harness for your baby and special brakes on the wheels of the umbrella stroller. Lastly, and one of the most important thing to remember is that the best umbrella strollers for big kids need to be STURDY that can hold heavier weights of our growing kids.

Of course, additional features are still nice to have like having bigger canopy for full sun protection. The old adorable hoods we usually see in umbrella strollers aren’t enough when you’re taking care of a big kid. Keeping these in mind as we take a look on the best umbrella strollers for big kids!

The Reviews

The MacLaren Techno XLR

If this is just a simple question on which is the biggest umbrella stroller, then no doubt, the Maclaren Techno XLR easily takes the crown! And since it carries a premium name known as Maclaren, rest assured its features are something to look forward to as well. You could say a Maclaren is much like the Apple brand among umbrella strollers. While the Techno XLR is their Iphone Plus version. You pay for a high quality product with few extras, plus a premium from owning such brand.

So, why did I say that the Techno XLR easily tops the best umbrella strollers for big kids if it’s only a matter of size? Because it is by far the biggest among the Maclaren lineup for umbrella strollers. It can even carry a whopping 65 pounds of weight, which is totally rare! This makes it a total stand out among others, not just in Maclaren. The seat of a Techno XLR is large, wide and well-padded for the utmost comfort of your growing baby.

Despite its size, it’s still competitive when it comes to weight. The Techno XLR is beautifully lightweight, considering it’s only 15.8 pounds for its bigger form. It is available in three sleek, two-tone colors such as black and silver, silver and green and dove and pink! It also comes with a carry strap to make it more practical and convenient to carry it around, a removable and machine washable seat and oversize basket. But unlike the rest on the list, this one comes with a wind-resistant rain cover, winter boot, head hugger & shoulder pads.

XLR’s large canopy has an extendable UPF+50 protection with built-in sun visor for extra coverage that blocks harmful UV rays. Its canopy is actually slightly larger than the rest on the list, making it perfect for shielding your baby from unwanted elements. Have I also mentioned that it is completely waterproof as well!?

Its 4 easy-to-adjust seat positions make this especially ideal for a comfortable ride and disturb-free napping for your kid. It can also fully recline which makes it not only perfectly suitable for big kids, but also great for newborns. And thanks to its extendable leg rest, it can keep up to your growing child’s needs and comfort. The Techno XLR can be easily operated that adjusting its seat recline can be done with just one hand; and so is its folding mechanism. Speaking of which, this one folds up small so it won’t take up too much space and can even fit in your Mini Cooper trunk!

The Maclaren XLR pretty much got all your needs covered. It also steers well and maneuvers smoothly. It’s all thanks to its 4 big wheels with suspension that helps absorbs shocks from bumpy roads.

While the Techno XLR comes in big package, it’s not very surprising to see it with quite a hefty price tag for not more than $450. Fortunately, you can usually get this at a lower price on Amazon than how much it usually retails in stores. If you’re lucky, you can save as much as 20% discount and even catch it for below four hundred bucks. The Maclaren Techno XLR also got a perfect rating. It’s durable, lightweight and knows how to provide great comfort for your growing child.

The MacLaren Techno XLR would definitely be your pick for the modern parent who prefers an umbrella stroller that gets right down to business with zero nonsense. Indeed, this will suit even the pickiest parents with its universally classic design and convenient features! You may even get the chance to avail its lifetime warranty for the product as long you register with Maclaren online within 60 days of purchase to receive the benefits of their Sovereign Lifetime Warranty.

The Summer 3D Lite Convenience Stroller

The Summer 3D Lite Stroller, produced by Summer Infant, is a huge success and very in-demand in the market partly due to its affordable price yet packs a lot of punch! The 3D Lite sports a beautifully stylish aluminum frame which makes this umbrella stroller durable and incredibly lightweight. It’s considered by most consumers and online reviewers as one of the most feature rich convenience strollers on the market today! With a weight of 8.6 pounds, frame that’s quite easy to fold and a convenient carry strap, the Summer 3D Lite Convenience Stroller is an incredibly travel-friendly stroller for your baby as well as the parent that’s almost always on the go!

The package includes the umbrella stroller itself with 5-point safety harnesses to ensure a safe and secure ride. There’s also a huge canopy to keep your baby safe from getting far too much sun, a cup holder sits comfortably by the padded handles for the parent’s cup of coffee, bottled water, or even the baby’s formula! But to be honest, the cup holder is not its selling point as it is not very big such that a McDonald’s coffee fits tightly enough that it barely touches the bottom. Nonetheless, this is a positive move and is really convenient to have on a stroller. The storage basket along with a few storage pockets are conveniently located at the backside of the stroller which is perfect for putting the baby’s things as well as a few groceries!

The large and durable wheels measure 6 inches in diameter and feature anti-shock, front suspension to provide your baby a smooth ride even if you hit small bumps or rocks, your child would still be sleeping soundly. The front swivel wheels also lock into place, which make the stroller ideal for scrolling over any surface; from grass, pavement, to even cobblestones! For safety, the rear wheels lock easily with just the touch of a toe, putting the Summer 3D Lite to a complete, not to mention safe, halt.

What makes the Summer 3D Lite Convenience Stroller especially friendly for infant usage is that the large, adjustable canopy will block your baby’s sensitive skin from the dangerous UV rays, and if that’s not enough, the pop out sun visor provides even more protection on especially sunny days which block 99.9% of UVA and UVB rays. It has 4 mult-position recline feature that is easily adjustable by simply pressing the red button simultaneously. The 5-point safety harness easily adjusts to three height positions as your child grows, along with a comfortable padding for an extra comfy ride for your little ones.

For each of the stroller I’m highlighting, they actually have their own edge to one another. In this case, the Summer 3D offers the most affordable price of just below $80, plus free shipping. So if those are your priorities in an umbrella stroller, this will be a good choice for you. It also got a high satisfaction from more than 200 parents averaging to 4.4 stars out of a perfect score of 5.

The Inglesina Net Stroller

The Inglesina Net is another fantastic pick for your big kid. One of my favourite things about this stroller is its ability to stand perfectly still because of its center stand. This totally eliminates the worry of your umbrella stroller rolling off on its own. And since it can also stand on its own while folded, you don’t have to get it dirtied by putting it down on the floor while you load your groceries and bags to your car. This way, it also helps maintain its cleanliness and protect our little ones from getting easily exposed to germs.

When it eventually does get dirty, the seat pad is totally removable and washable. This, in my opinion, is such an important feature on any umbrella stroller! And if you happen to travel on public transports, this becomes handy that you can just let it stand on the bus or the train with just little support. You won’t have to always carry it around or put it down on a public floor which has been exposed with what knows what! I just really find this feature very neat and convenient.

Traveling with this proves to be a superb experience. Aside from its handy self-standing feature, there’s also been no problem with its folding mechanism. It’s compact and pretty easy to fold and unfold with just a push of a button. It also weighs just about 11.2 pounds that it can almost practically compete with our sets of the best lightweight umbrella strollers in the market. It is not heavy at all; plus, the Inglesina Net Umbrella Stroller comes with a practical shoulder strap which makes carrying it around with you stress-free! You don’t have to worry on having sore backs at the end of every trip.

The Inglesina Net also comes it a lot of beautiful and vibrant colors to suit different tastes – from classic black to bright yellow! There’s certainly something for everyone. The extra large hood also features a powerful sun protection of UPF or Ultraviolet Protection Factor of 50+ for maximum protection! In terms of maintenance, the hood is also removable and washable. There are two positions for reclining to provide maximum comfort for the precious little one. Unfortunately, it does not fully recline to flat which what it lacks when compared to the Maclaren Techno XLR. Also, there’s a large storage basket to put the baby’s things and even some of yours! The cup holder is there to await your every drink mood or just a place to put the baby’s formula in!

If all these features don’t convince you enough yet, the Inglesina Umbrella Stroller is available for just less than $150. But it can go higher depending on the color and design you choose. Having an Inglesina Net can make your life a hundred times easier for you! Almost everyone who tried it left positive testaments on how awesome it is! In fact, the Inglesina Net Stroller gained positive and favorable reviews, and currently has a high approval rate of 4.1 out of 5 stars. And if you decide to buy it on Amazon, this will be delivered straight to your home with no charge! It is a great deal and definitely a wonderful investment among strollers. So better grab the opportunity of owning one of the best umbrella strollers for big kids before stocks run out!

Best Umbrella Strollers 2015

For parents who like to travel a lot or go out on a stroll with their kids, umbrella strollers are the MUST-HAVES and the best options we got to make our life easier while still keeping our little angels safe and comfortable. Because of this, umbrella strollers became famous that we now have more and more options to choose from. And every year, manufacturers tend to produce new products or improvements of their last year’s models.

There are SO many “good-looking” strollers in the market that it becomes hard to find which really stood out as the top. And that’s where I come in, to help you make the right decision!

Being a parent, we can’t afford to waste our money on junks that don’t last long enough or even cater to our needs because as you know by now, there are tons of stuff to spend for our family’s necessities!

Overview of the Best Umbrella Stroller 2015

Last year, I made a list on the top umbrella strollers of the year for 2014. For 2015, I continued the tradition, as well as for 2016, by putting together a massive review but with BIGGER and BETTER options! I looked into the brands, fan favorites and most especially on the nifty features a stroller must have. So let’s cut this short and for now, check out what I included on my BEST UMBRELLA STROLLERS 2015 list.

The Reviews

Summer Infant 3D Lite

First on my list is the Summer Infant 3D Lite. This stroller has already made its presence since last year, so you might wonder what makes this a perfect choice for 2015? Well, for one thing, the manufacturer also produced a newer and improved model of it this year. But that’s not really important because honestly, there are only slight changes such as having a stronger plastic for the foot rest, the Crotch harness flap was removed and they made an improved folding and carrying system which is claimed to have a better auto-lock functions.

But regardless whether you opt for its 2014 or 2015 model, the Summer Infant 3D Lite never gone out-of-date! Why you ask? It’s already proven that it has the basic features you’ll ever need in a stroller for an affordable price. No stroller was ever made this year to ever compare with its features considering its price range. So with that said, I’m highlighting this one for parents out to buy A STROLLER WITH BUDGET ON MIND!

It also has features that you can find from umbrella strollers that are worth more of its price range. It didn’t came short when it comes to durability and safety despite its inexpensive price tag. And it still looks pretty or even more elegant than the others. It came with various bright and playful colors on its canopy. It is also not just there to make it look pretty but is very useful. It is adjustable and has a sun visor for the extra protection against UV rays which is perfect during sunnier days. While its large storage basket is handy for those mommies who love to bring lots of stuff while strolling.

It is easy to maneuver and folds effortlessly compact to easily fit the trunk of your car or put it in storage. However few seems to had trouble keeping the 2015 Summer Infant 3D to stay open. This may be an isolated case but it’s better to be sure so when you order and receive the item, inspect the stroller right away in case a faulty one is delivered to you. But no worries, Amazon provides excellent free shipping and return services. Also, it might be good practice to keep the stroller open for few days after receiving it just to let the stroller get the hang of it.

The stroller has a large seat area and has high handles. So that’s a great news for tall parents! If you are 5’8” in height or taller, you won’t need to worry about having to hunch over just to operate this thing. It has a 5-point harness that can be adjusted to 3 point when your child grows and has multi-position recline functions to almost flat! Its features alone are enough to close the deal, but pair it with an affordable price, then I’m definitely sold! This is the best choice for you looking to buy an umbrella stroller with a price ranging from $70-$100!

Maclaren Mark II

Now if price is not what matters the most to you and you happen to really like to travel a lot, then I’m sure you’ll love what’s next on my list – the Maclaren Mark II! Nothing beats its superior feather weight feature! It’s not even more than 7.4 pounds, so imagine how light it is and how easy it will be for you to bring it anywhere! You won’t even need to take your baby out to carry it. You can even lift it with just one hand or even with just few of your fingers, totally effortless. You may think that since it is light, it’s going to tip over easily as well. WRONG! Despite its weight, it is designed with aircraft-grade aluminum hexagonal tubing providing durable composure that even if you hung your bags or groceries on its handles, it will not tip over easily. It can even hold your kid’s weight of up to 55 pounds. Kuddos to Maclaren!

Strollers are usually folded with two hands and innovation brought us these with one-hand folding feature. But Maclaren takes it to another level by offering us a NO-HAND folding mechanism! It’s pretty cool, and just one of the things why I like this. It’s pretty clear at this point that having a kid around means having a lot of things to bring so having two hands free from folding the stroller is a huge plus. You can fold it with just a nudge of two or three with your foot while you carry your child on one hand and your other bags or stuffs on the other hand. Oh, and of course, it folds compactly as well. And speaking of innovation, this also offers an antimicrobial handles. We can’t really be sure if it’s 100% reliable but it’s a good attempt for the handles managing to stay clean on some level.

The only thing I don’t like about it is its inability to recline. It only has 1 seat position which is not very ideal for babies and sleepyheads. And it’s because of this, the Maclaren Mark II is only good for babies who are six months of age and up or to babies who can sit on their own.

But compared to that set back, there are more reasons to love it aside from its already winning features I mentioned earlier. It can fit to almost anywhere since it is easy to push on subways and also fit through narrow aisles. Its 4-wheel suspension are very easy to maneuver on even over uneven terrain, the seat panel of this stroller keeps children comfortable. The waterproof hood and extendable sun visor are also cool and useful. It has a mesh part on its seat which is a great design to consider so it will not feel too hot for our little ones from sitting on it for too long. The peek-a-boo window is also a nice add-on just so we can take a peak and check on how our kid is doing. Lastly, its package includes a rain cover and carry strap.

With the long list of features it offers, it’s not a surprise that it’s a bit pricier than the other lightweight strollers. You can buy this for not more than $200, but the features you get out of this is totally worth it. If it is only a matter of traveling in convenience, hands down this will be your best bet! The Maclaren Mark II does not weigh too much, but this what makes it a heavy contender. And it’s definitely leaving a mark on my best umbrella strollers 2015 list.

Baby Jogger Vue

Next on my list is the Baby Jogger Vue 2015 Lite. The very first thing that I noticed and have always fancied about it is its uniqueness – it is reversible! It’s hard to find umbrella strollers that can face both ways. And true enough, this is its selling point even with its 2014 version. I just love its reversible seat as I find it very useful and handy to use. Watching over your kids is made easier with this feature since you can now have them face you any time you want. It can do so much even with its seat reversed! Considering how easy it is to flip it with just one hand and can still has a deep recline while in reverse are just “AWE-mazing”. No need to take it apart and turn the whole seat just to put it in inverse position. Throw in a lightweight feature of about 14.5 pounds, it’s no wonder why I had fallen in love with it even before and up until now.

The large canopy is great because it can cover the baby better from the sun, although it would be nice to have a peek-a-boo window on its canopy. Nonetheless, it’s not hard to just stop for a bit and lean forward to check on how your baby is doing. My only concern about this stroller is that I have had a hard time accessing the bottom basket to put or get my baby’s essentials since it’s not that big.

I like the available colors and style of this stroller, you can choose from 4 varied colors.  Its cool harness is a go-setter and easy to put together. Needless to say that this Baby Jogger Vue 2015 Lite is way much better than its last year’s version since it is lighter, where the 2014 series weighs at 17.4 pounds. Another thing I also love is its easy compact fold, which can be done by one hand as well. The best thing about the Baby Jogger Vue 2015 Lite is its reliability – it is tried and tested by several mommies and daddies who gave it a great review, accumulating a rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars. It’s also available for not more than $180, which is not expensive at all considering its unique features to offer.

Uppababy G-Luxe 2015

Speaking of tried and tested umbrella strollers, another one that made on the list is the UPPAbaby 2015 G-Luxe Stroller. Almost every year that UPPababy introduces a newer version, and it just keeps getting better. This year UPPAbaby 2015 G-Luxe Stroller is at its finest. It’s one of my personal all-time favorites as I have featured it quite a few times already and you can read my comprehensive review of it here. But to give you a quick look, allow me to tell you what is so good about the G-Luxe.

Just the name alone, it pretty much claims to be a luxury stroller for your kid. It has high handles, a very plus points for tall parents and hard to find from inexpensive umbrella strollers I’m sure! The canopy is remarkable and easy to open. It is removable, height adjustable and even has an extendable SPF 50 to provide actual protection and prevent direct sunlight. This time they added the one action brake for easier maneuverability and improved construction with lighter aluminum frame for a robust profile, durability and lighter weight. This one only weighs at 15 pounds. Its fabrics and seat are also removable so you can wash it to stay clean and keep your child’s hygiene. It can also recline to almost flat and adjustable leg rest for comfortable long sitting for your little angel. And as always, it’s easy to operate as you can effortlessly fold and unfold and recline it with just one hand. These are all the qualities that every parent will ever need in a stroller and I found them with Uppababy G-Luxe.

The G-Luxe retained its stylis look but with darker tones and more colors to choose from. Its average price is $259.99 with free shipping and got a 4.6 ratings out of 5. While it does seem to be quite expensive as compared to the other brands of umbrella strollers, but that’s simply the price you have to pay to get a trusted brand and make an investment worth with better returns.

Summer Infant 3D Flip

2015 is a great year for Summer Infant because aside from its 3D Convenience stroller, it successfully introduced 2 more models that are sure hits! If you want a reversible umbrella stroller for a lower cost than the Baby Jogger Vue then I’m sure you will love the Summer Infant 3D Flip. Its basic features come with the 5 point safety harness, 6-position multi-recline, oversized one-hand adjustable canopy with peek-a-boo window, parent cup holder, storage pockets and the reversible seat design.

But since it also comes with the unique quality that the Baby Jogger Vue has, it’s inevitable that they are being compared often. There are really no other reversible umbrella strollers worth mentioning except for these two. But if I need to choose just one between the two, I’d likely cash out few more bucks to get the Jogger Vue. Before you ask why, just hear me out! The Baby Jogger Vue has already been tested and when it comes to the reversible feature, they’re first. I also find the fabric used on Vue to be thicker and feels like it won’t rip open easily.  And although Summer Infant 3D Flip weighs slightly lighter than the Vue which is actually a good thing, weighing at 14 and 14.5 pounds respectively, the Vue on the other hand can hold up to 55 pounds while the 3D Flip has a maximum weight recommendation of 50 pounds. So basing on these, I think the Vue can stick around with me longer. The extra cash out is worth it.

Nevertheless, the 3D Flip can still throw some punches and knock out other competitions, after all it is an awesome package for a reasonable price and free shipping service if bought from Amazon. From $150, you may usually get this at a bargain of $130 or lower which would really make this even a sweeter deal! Get the Summer Infant 3D Flip to get a reversible umbrella stroller for an affordable price.

Summer Infant 3D Zyre

Now let’s move on to 3D Flip’s brother, the Summer Infant 3D Zyre. With one look, its OVERSIZED canopy is the first thing you will notice. Talk about total cover and protection from the elements, the 3D Zyre is an obvious choice and makes Joovy fans waver on their loyalty! It even got a peek-a-boo window feature on its canopy as well to let you easily check on your child anytime you want. Clearly this is the bump up version of the 3D Lite.

It’s slightly heavier with a weight of 13 pounds, but definitely not a deal breaker since it is still pretty light for me and it has more improved qualities to be “D-Zyred” about. Get it? Sorry for the lame pun… But 3D Zyre does resonates something to desire. For one, its hand grips has an added padding contoured foam for extra comfort for us parents; while its harness is also padded to secure our baby without making them feel uneasy on their seat and sore on their bodies.  It can also recline in 3 positions, switching them over with just one-hand. Folding it is easy with 3 simple steps of lifting its rear handle, pushing the lever with your foot and folding it that auto locks in place. It comes with a carry strap so carrying it around will never be a hassle. It also has a cup holder, 3 pockets with zipper and easy access storage basket at the bottom which always have been convenient add-ons to have.

In the end the 3D Zyre successfully meets our 3C’s or criteria for an awesome umbrella stroller: Comfort, Convenience and Confidence. With 3D Zyre’s features, it’s pretty clear how it delivers great comfort and convenience to us and our babies. But we are also confident with it that it will keep our little angel safe and not let us down. With price being sold about $160, you may get big discounts when you buy it from Amazon with free shipping; plus it got a high satisfaction rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars.

The 3D Zyre now has a successor which we currently know as Summer Infant 3D One which I also featured for the best umbrella strollers for 2016. So, if the 3D Zyre has piqued your interest, then you shouldn’t miss out on it! After all, that could be the “One” for you.

Graco Breaze Click Connect Stroller

And finally, but definitely not the least, is the Graco Breaze Click Connect Stroller. Among all in the list, this one is actually the heaviest with a weight of 17.5 pounds. However, what’s so special about it is its ability to connect to travel system. It accepts all Graco Click Connect infant car seats with only one-step attachment to create own travel system. The infant car seat and car seat base are sold separately though, so you will have to buy them to get the most of its potential. If you’ll think about it, infant car seats are also useful especially when your child is still young so this helps to keep your baby safe in the car while traveling. If you have the extra budget, it would be nice to get them all together. You can even get a special lower price rather buying them separately.

No question on its durability and it can carry your kid up to 50 pounds. It also grows with your child since it has an adjustable foot rest and has a convertible 3 to 5 point harness, so rest assured that this stroller can be used for a longer time. The height is just perfect for me, so no worries on having sore back from hunching over it. I also find its easy-fold mechanism wonderful, not only does it auto locks in place to keep it folded, it can also stand on its own while folded. This way, I won’t have to put it down and get it dirtied while I put my bags and groceries inside the car.  Although some have noted that it gets unlocked easily so it would be nice to double the lock on your own.

Your kid will be able to sleep or nap comfortably during the long walks since the Graco Breaze has a multi-position recline, handled with just one hand, that can even lie flat without having to put the car seat; thus makes this a terrific choice especially when your child is still in infant stage. The large and padded seat gives extra comfy as well. The canopy successfully does its job in blocking sunrays and not just there as a display. It is approximately at 26”, large enough to provide proper shade and it also got an extendable visor with UV 50+ protection and peek-a-boo window. More features that moms and dads will surely like are its huge storage basket at the bottom, easy maneuverability with one-step action brake and wheels that are surely secured.

Its price is pretty average and can still fit in your budget. It’s roughly around $130 and got 4.6 out of 5 star ratings. This is a well-designed stroller that packs lots of useful functions. And as its name suggests, taking our little angel out for a walk will be easy breezy.

Best Umbrella Stroller for Travel Lets You Be On-the-Go

Best Umbrella Stroller for Travel

Me and my husband like to travel a lot. We like to explore our surroundings, check out new restaurants in the neighborhood and just be more on the outdoors! Travelling is never been a problem for both of us, however, everything has change when our little baby boy arrived. Every time we travel with our little one was a challenge. From clothes to bring, baby foods, milk bottles, diapers and many more to consider, we should always list them down because if we forget something, it will surely be a nightmare for us and ordeal for my child. I just can’t take that risk.

One time when we traveled to my in-laws, which was 2 hours drive from our home, became a disaster to me and my husband. The bulky stroller is too heavy to carry, which felt like we are carrying 2 kids, needless to say it also took up too much space! It’s tiring to carry these bulky strollers which will bring me some back pains at the end of the day and not to mention, they can be quite difficult to operate. That’s when me and my husband decided to look for another stroller, that give us ease and comfort to my child when travelling.

The Reviews

Peg Perego Pliko Mini Stroller

I bet every parent will agree, if I say we always prioritize our child’s safety.  When choosing the best umbrella stroller for travel, security is first on my check list. Sometimes, the problem with very light strollers is that it can easily topple over which can be unsafe. But with the Peg Perego Pliko Mini Stroller, safety is one factor they never came short. It’s not flimsy, will not break easily and has 5 point harness to keep your child in place.

It may not fully recline like the ones I mentioned for the best umbrella strollers for infants, but Its backrest can still recline in 3 different positions to allow our little kid snuggle and snooze comfortably. And what’s I also love about this is its leg rests are adjustable to accommodate our growing child.

More reasons why I recommend this, aside from the fact that the safety and comfort of our child are assured, traveling will be a breeze. Peg Perego will be your best companion. It has a front wheel suspension that keeps your baby comfortable and won’t easily feel any small bumps in case you walk through rough terrains, as the wheel suspension is designed to absorb the shock. Your little angel can sleep soundly. The front wheels also swivel and lock, bringing you a smooth ride in the mall and handles reasonably well on rough sidewalks. This stroller maneuvers easily, and on smooth surfaces can even be steered with one hand.

It is also one of the best lightweight umbrella strollers with weight of only 11 pounds. The frame itself is lightweight, but stable enough to hold your baby and will not tip over easily. Its folding mechanism is very easy to do and you can even do it with just one hand, no need to bend over. On top of it all, it can stand alone while folded so you won’t have to put it down and get it dirtied. This also makes it really manageable and convenient even when you’re on public transports or while you are putting your groceries away to the trunk of your car while carrying your child on your other hand. All of this great features are what it makes to be one of the best umbrella strollers for travel!

And like most strollers, it also has a canopy to protect your child from direct sunlight or small rain drops. It also has a bottom basket for you to put some of your things or place your child’s diaper bag, after all, our child is the one who has a lot of needs to grow up healthy. Oh, and before I forget, it also comes with different vibrant colors and designs! So for the stylish moms out there, you don’t have to compromise your look and still walk out in style with your kid.

Packed with convenient and useful features, Peg Perego Pliko Mini Stroller is a top choice for traveling. It is priced around $180 to $250 depending on availability and design. Plus, this is offered with free shipping to save you the hassle of going out shopping while you still don’t have a stroller to use with your baby. It is even rated with a high satisfaction score of 4.3 out of 5 stars. With Peg Perego, you can travel with ease and style!

Summer Infant 3Dtote

Summer Infant has a variety of line-ups to meet the various needs of parents. Whether it be budget, specific feature or your growing child’s needs, you’ll surely find one that fits your needs. Among its offers, the award-winning Summer Infant 3Dlite is undeniably the popular choice due to its lightness and convenient features that are reliable for everyday use. However when it comes to frequent travelling, more so to far destinations, the 3Dtote seems to stand out the most for the job!

After all, 3Dtote takes after the 3Dlite but loaded with better features that will be beneficial for travelling. I’m talking about its incredible amount of storage, extra comfort and more convenient details you’d be happy to have. It definitely sets a whole new spectrum for the Summer Infant series for modern baby gear that’s inspired by iconic architecture, chic fashion, and fresh interior design.

Summer Infant 3Dtote promises the modern consumer the most user friendly, premium line of strollers, accessories, play spaces, and high chairs to complete every bit of your baby needs! Going back to this umbrella stroller, the design is super sleek, modern, reliable for travels and is clad in a beautiful black aluminum frame that isn’t only aesthetically pleasing but also sturdy.

It weighs around 17 pounds, which is certainly not ultralight but still manageable. However if weight is very crucial for your travelling, the best lightweight umbrella strollers may be more up to your alley. J is for Jeep Brand Atlas AL Stroller

J is for Jeep Brand is an absolute dear that ensures a convenient and cozy ride. Okay, I’m not talking about cars here. But it does have wheels as well. We’re still talking about strollers, and this time it’s from J is for Jeep Brand. For those who doesn’t know, J is for Jeep brand is actually in partnership with Delta Children. Which I’m pretty sure with Delta Children, they do nothing but deliver quality products. After all, they’ve been around for the longest time, founded since 1968. With such staying power, you can pretty much tell they’re one of the experts. And when it comes to abundant storage space in an umbrella stroller, the J is for Jeep brand Atlas AL is your best pal.

When it comes to design, the J is for Jeep brand Atlas AL almost looks very modular and reminds one of more modern styles in fashion! It sports a warm gray tone with little blue line accents and patterned design inside the canopy. Its light blue gives off a cool vibe that perfectly complements its overall color. Who says only your clothes can be fashionable? Certainly, no one! The Atlas AL is definitely stylish, but on the down side, you only get 1 style. There are no other colors or designs to choose from.

On a positive note, you won’t have the dilemma on what design to choose since there’s only one. Nevertheless, the Atlas AL looks stunning. After you take in its overall appearance, you turn it around then your jaw quite literally drops at the amount of storage it has. It can carry almost anything and everything for you. That’s certainly how I felt when I saw this beauty!

It also has tons of storage space waiting for you. It has a mesh basket under the seat with generous size for the bag and baby essentials. While at the rear of its canopy has a bag or pouch for the parents to put in their keys or cash for quick access. There’s also a cup or bottle holder on the side that you can truly use. While there’s a good chance not all of your things can fit the bottom bin and the parent pouch. You can hang some of your bags or groceries on the handle just fine and it won’t topple over easily.

And if the huge storage compartments aren’t enough to make you jump for joy, the Atlas AL has all the perks of any great umbrella stroller in the market! J is for the Jeep brand made sure to keep the Atlas AL super compact which makes storing and just getting around town super easy and convenient. Definitely designed for parents that are almost always on the go, the Atlas AL keeps the safety and comfort of your baby in check as well.

Its extendable European style canopy protects your baby from the elements, which incidentally sports a pattern that is too cute for words! It also has a sun visor and 2 peek-a-boo windows for you to easily check on your little tot. There’s an adjustable foot rest to accommodate the different position of your child for that tailor made comfort! And of course, the common 5 point harness is also present but this has a soft shoulder pads to keep your little one still comfortable while being secured on his or her seat.

When the day’s done, the Atlas AL incorporates the classic and easy compact fold with auto-lock mechanism that makes it ready for storage in your trunk or in a tight space at home! with snap of your fingers! On other hand, few had slight inconvenience as you might need both hands and a foot to open this thing. Still, the Atlas AL is JPMA certified and meets or exceeds all ASTM and applicable CPSC standards to ensure that your baby is on good hands.

If you are not yet satisfied with these features, there are still plenty more reasons to love it! It has ergonomic handles that are comfy to touch and make pushing easy. It’s made of high quality aluminum frame for durability and tougher built against wear and tear. Plus, the seat has memory foam that is basically the comfiest thing ever! Since memory foam follows the contour of the body, it keeps the spine aligned and makes you feel relaxed. So even if you have to stay with your little one out for long hours, they remain comfortable on their seats. Despite being unable to recline flat, it still has multi-position reclines. And there’s a reflective piping so you can still see your baby while having that leisure walk at night.

This one is pretty adorable and affordable! This can be delivered to your home free of charge for less than $130. With a stellar rating of 4.5 out of 5, this is no doubt one of the best umbrella strollers for travel. Putting how much storage and pretty it looks aside, the Atlas AL packs with handy features that are worth your time and consideration. Let you and your baby finally have a reliable stroller for a cozy ride at last!

The Round-Up

Each has their own advantage to one another. Just like how Peg Perego has the least weight, the 3Dtote with the most spacious utility and protection from the elements or the Scout Atlas for its added comfort perfect for long trips. So what’s important is for you to identify your need first in order for you to easily find one that fits the most.

Mom’s Words of Advice…

You should keep in mind the 5 things I mentioned earlier, which are lightweight, convenient, compact, safe and comfortable to use. These are the important factors when looking for the best umbrella stroller for travel for the reasons that when we travel, we are already bringing a lot of yours and baby’s stuff. So having a heavier one will not be helpful at all, unless it’s capable of holding all of your stuff for you.

Bulky ones will make it harder for you to bring it anywhere since public places don’t have the luxurious of space. While having an easy to operate stroller, well, who doesn’t like convenience right? Security is crucial since going out everyday exposes our little one to any possible situations and we just want to have that peace of mind as well aside from physical stress. Lastly, going on trips likely means staying out all day. So it’s important that our babies are comfortable on their pushchairs.

And for a perfect get away, you should NEVER ever forget the most important baby essentials to bring when traveling for a stress-free and “cry-free” trip with your cute little one.

The Inglesina Trip Stroller

The best umbrella strollers that you could possibly get your hands on have to pay incredibly close detail to convenience and mobility. Of course, you want to get around the big city as easily as you can with an umbrella stroller that can handle all the twists and turns and all the dodging of the busy people rushing about their day. This is where the Inglesina Trip Umbrella Stroller comes in.

Described by the company as lightweight, sporty, and infinitely convenient, the Inglesina Trip is a fantastic choice and a great example of an umbrella stroller for city dwellers as it is built and ready to answer to your every need! This Inglesina umbrella stroller lives up to its name featuring ergonomic handles that are padded and soft to the touch and fits great in your hands for excellent maneuverability!

Storage and friendliness for travel is definitely not going to be an issue with the Trip umbrella stroller because of the innovative easy to use umbrella fold as well as a signature carry handle. When closed, the Trip locks automatically into a small and compact package that’s easy to carry around with its meager weight and easy to hold carry handle! It also weighs 14.5 pounds, including the canopy, so it is pretty light to carry. Now with an improved canopy size, the hood of this umbrella stroller has been improved, it has a peek-a-boo window and can be well extended to assure more protection for your precious little one while you also have a surprisingly spacious storage basket at the bottom to put the baby’s things in, literally taking a load off of you when you’re out and about! It also has one of the best reclining feature wherein the Trip’s nicely padded seat also reclines into four positions. This is an interesting feature as this is the type of umbrella stroller that “grows” with your child and that means it fits with smaller children to even toddlers! This is all because of the easily adjustable backrest and foot rest and can even hold a maximum weight of 55 pounds to accommodate your growing child! That’s definitely a great plus as it’s just so practical and so perfect for the city life! In this economy, that would just be a sad expense that you have to deal with, but with the Inglesina Trip Umbrella Stroller, you will feel that life in the big city is a ton easier!

Best Umbrella Stroller that Reclines Lets Your Baby Sleep Soundly

Best Umbrella Stroller that Reclines

After an impossibly long day’s work, we just can’t wait to get home so we can finally relax and unwind and just let go. Some of us like to take a long and relaxing bath, some collapse on the couch for a quick power nap, some people throw themselves into bed immediately as if they just crossed the finish line in a race. For me, I really like crashing on my ever so favorite armchair at home! It’s very comfortable and I feel like I could just stay there for hours while I gather my thoughts and my wits about me, but most of all, with a smartly placed lever on the side of the chair it reclines and transforms into something even more relaxing, and it becomes a battle to get out of the chair!

And this definitely rings true when it comes to parenting and taking care of our kids. If we have a constant need and desire for comfort, so do our kids! When we find someplace to rest, we make sure it’s always a place where we find the utmost comfort, where we can finally breathe, and where we can totally surrender to the peace and security. When it comes to umbrella strollers, I can’t tell you all enough how important it is that your child is in the utmost comfort and security in his or her little umbrella stroller. Believe me, the last thing you could ever want on your quick strolls out of the house is your adorable little baby fussing and complaining and protesting about in their stroller.

If you pick the best umbrella stroller that reclines comfortably for your little one, then you can be sure that you will enjoy your moments out of the house with your child, and he or she will be able to fully enjoy all the new and exciting experiences the outside world has to offer them, because when we’re comfortable, our minds are totally at ease, and we can fully focus on all the beautiful things in life!

The Reviews

The MacLaren Quest Stroller

MacLaren is definitely no stranger in the field of umbrella strollers. This well known, tried and tested brand has been a family favorite and a baby store staple that has consistently proven their conviction to stay in the arena of umbrella strollers, regardless of the very many new brands of umbrella strollers that come with tons and tons of newfangled features to keep people interested.

With the MacLaren Quest Stroller, you can be certain that it can definitely provide all the reclining your baby could ever ask for, making the absolute perfect napping buddy for your child. Oh, I’m sure you will love to know that this thing can fully recline! This will let your baby take a really comfortable long nap and you can use this even if your kid is still in his or her infant years. The four position multi-recline gives you tons of options to keep Junior comfortable. It’s even easy and fast to switch from one seat position to another. While the height adjustable 5 point harness and extendable leg rest promises to be able to accommodate your growing child as well as keep them safe when you’re on the go!

Other than the MacLaren Quest’s optimal reclining features, which is my personal favorite, this umbrella stroller is very lightweight! Weighing in at only 12.6 pounds, it’s an umbrella stroller that anyone can bring anywhere and store anywhere. Super convenient and super easy are words that busy parents like us like to hear!

The cool water resistant hood comes complete with a UV safe viewing window so that the little ones can get the chance to view the outside world even if the weather isn’t exactly nice and fair. For added safety, the MacLaren Quest Umbrella Stroller comes with a handy dandy rain cover and a storage basket!

Oh, and did I mention that the seat is actually removable and you can just throw it into the washing machine? Indeed, the MacLaren Quest is a force to be reckoned with in the umbrella stroller market! This is also perfect for stylish parents as there are 8 color combination variants for you to choose from. Its price falls a little under $300 with free shipping to bring great convenience to parents. Although the MacLaren tend to cost more than the average ones, it is pack with features that are surely worth the investment for the comfort and safety of your little angel. Lastly, this lovely thing got 4 stars out of 5 rating from happy and well-satisfied moms and dads.

The Chicco Liteway Stroller

No matter what you do, the Chicco Liteway Umbrella Stroller always finds its way to becoming one of the best umbrella stroller to consider as it pretty much does cover all the usual umbrella stroller demands of the modern consumer.

This doesn’t really come as a big surprise since Chicco has been in the children’s market for far too long and they know the market quite well, which is why they’ve been able to shell out great products consistently and the Chicco Liteway Stroller is definitely a testament to that!

Like the MacLaren’s, Chicco Liteway can also fully recline and your baby’s seat reclines with 5 positions in just a few seconds with their one hand adjustable seat recline system, while the soft and padded 5 point harness keeps your child snug on his or her seat.

The Liteway also sports an adjustable, removable canopy with zip off rear panel and peek a boo window to shield your baby from any harmful elements in the environment, but with the convenient little window, you can still keep an eye on your baby and they can still see the outside world even if it does start to drizzle a little!

When it’s time to fold up the Liteway, this umbrella stroller is incredibly easy to fold and the design features a carry handle for easy travel and storage! Handy, right? My personal favorite feature, as well as most moms that I know, is that the Chicco Liteway Umbrella Stroller possesses a KeyFit car seat compatibility! That means you can use KeyFit car seats and directly attach them to this stroller and makes travelling all the more simple and convenient! With the KeyFit car seat compatibility, you can just click in your baby to the Chicco Liteway Stroller and you’re pretty much good to go! This snap and go technology is definitely something a lot of parents look for in an umbrella stroller which puts this Chicco innovation in everyone’s shopping list.

For a well-trusted brand, you will be surprised to know that Chicco Liteway is available for only $139.99 and as always, offers free shipping service. And it’s even better received among parents with a 4.8 out of 5 stars satisfaction rating.

The Reviews

Maclaren Twin Triumph Umbrella Stroller, Denim

Being a loving mom and a smart buyer, the comfort of my kids is always my priority. If they’re comfortable, the less chance they’ll cry and whine on early morning walks or during that much needed grocery shopping. And if I buy something, I make sure that most, if not everything, of what I really need should be present. And I found all these great qualities in a full-sized stroller yet compact package with the Maclaren Twin Triumph Stroller.

Its seats are wide and has room for your kids to grow. The padding of the seat is enough for a comfortable long sitting for the kids. It also has a multi-seat reclining positions which is a MUST to let your little ones take a nap and rest after a long day of activities. Unfortunately, this one cannot fully recline so it’s not ideal to use for newborns. But what’s cool about it is that it has a separate mechanism where you can adjust one seat without affecting the other. So let’s say one of your kid dozes off, you can recline his/her seat without the need to recline the other and just let your other child continue sightseeing. This way, both of your children can enjoy the trip. Now that’s convenient and a great design you can hardly find in any kind of stroller!

Children can be rough at times so a reliable and durable stroller is needed. And true enough, the Maclaren Twin Stroller did not fall short to this aspect. It can hold up to a combined weight of 110 pounds, which is actually quite rare to find among double umbrella strollers. This makes an excellent choice for families with big toddlers or preschoolers. Its fabrics is made of denim that will not be easy to wear and tear. And even if you have to go through many uneven road pavement and slight bumps, it’s still standing tall and proud carrying our children. Overall, maneuvering this thing is smooth and without a problem.

It’s also important to have a stroller that you can carry on your own in case you would need to bring your two kids on a trip by yourself! It’s not ideal to invest on the heavy ones so we don’t lose our energy easily by carrying them while catching up to our active children or having to carry your younger one as well. For a double umbrella stroller, its weight of 23.1 pounds is fine and manageable. It folds up nicely and compact too so it can fit on almost every door or closet with ease. Although, you may notice that folding this may feel stiff at first but it will loosen up once you’ve used it several times, which is not unusual for brand new items right? You can even close this with the canopies still attached so no need to hassle yourself and take time from having to remove and connect it back again when needed. Its rear wheels are lockable as well to keep the stroller still, so you will not have to worry about it suddenly moving away from and having to run after it.

If there’s one thing I felt it came short, I’m not a huge fan of its canopies because they’re not very large to provide full coverage but still, it’s better to have them than none at all. The canopies still manage to block and provide sufficient shade. But what sets its canopy apart from others is its water resistant feature which is a pretty fine design. And speaking of water, this package does come with a rain cover. It may become a bit harder to access the baskets when the seats are reclined but it has 2 nice cargo bags at the bottom that can provide awesome storage. Having a basket at the bottom can be really helpful so you won’t have to carry all your stuff while pushing this. Lastly, the height of its handles are sufficient for tall parents.

This has all the essential features you need in a stroller, no nonsense baggage. If you are a practical parent just like me, you know this is one of the best double umbrella strollers for you. The only thing that is going to stop you from buying it is probably its hefty price tag. But that’s the thing, getting a Maclaren is like getting an Apple device over other smart phones! Maclaren offers you a lot of handy features with the luxury and prestige feel to it to be envied by your other parent friends. And buying this on Amazon will be better because you can bring this home for about $375 plus free shipping, while normally you can find this around $400+ bucks. This stroller is the perfect deal and you will find more helpful reviews that can assure its quality. It got a high rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars. It’s lightweight, easy to use for travels, sturdy, can fit on almost every door and the kids and you are comfortable – it does its job excellently!

Delta LX Side by Side Tandem Umbrella Stroller

Delta has produced numerous twin strollers that do their job with flying colors. The Delta Children City Street Side by Side Strolleris also an eye-candy worth mentioning especially if you want similar to what I’m about to review but for an even lower price. For now I’ll be focusing on the Delta LX Side by Side Umbrella Stroller as this has a pretty awesome features for a more affordable price, plus this is tried and tested by lots of well-satisfied parents. It is a comfortable and hustle-free product for you to easily take care of your two toddlers while still making sure they are safe with the availability of the 5 point harness with shoulder pads to both seat.

Delta LX Side by Side Stroller has a light weight frame of 18.3 pounds that will not trouble you to bring and travel with. You also don’t have to worry about storing this since it can fit into any space or trunk and can even fit well into a standard 30” door wide. Not to mention, it’s really easy to fold and does not feel bulky at all when folded.

Each seat can carry up to 35 pounds of load, but it’s still sturdy enough to carry children even at ages of 2 to 4 years old and exceed the weight limit by 10 pounds is still not a problem. But of course, you still have to consider the weight of your children and not go way beyond the recommended limit just for safety precautions. Tailored with 360º swivel shock absorbing front wheels, it is just a breeze for the LX Side By Side Stroller to give your kids a smooth ride and lets you maneuver this with ease. It’s as if you are moving two toddlers as easy as handling one. The tires are made of hard plastics for endurance and durability.

The canopy provides your little ones some protection from sun rays; but to be honest, it’s not its best-selling point since it is not very big that can provide total sun block and it’s even a bit smaller than the Maclaren’s. The handles are also just average height so for parents that are more than 6 feet tall may start to feel a bit uncomfortable during long walks.

Nonetheless, this double stroller managed to bring convenience with its built-in two hanging storage bags to let you put your kids’ and even your own stuffs. But if you have lots of things to bring or bought, you might have to carry those since the hanging bags are not very big and it doesn’t have a basket at the bottom. You could hang some of your shopping bags on the handles though to keep your hands free from carrying anything too heavy. The stroller will not tip over easily especially with your toddlers sitting on it. The Delta LX Stroller also comes with a parent cup holder to conveniently let you put a bottled water or your cup of coffee during morning walks. Indeed, it was made not only for the comfort of our children but also bring convenience for moms and dads to feel cozy while travelling with their children, ‘coz we all know how energetic our children can be!

Now if you are worrying about the quality then worry no more because LX Stroller was made of durable sport color fabric and it is JPMA Certified. Aside from that, LX Stroller meets or even exceeds an ASTM Standards. ASTM or American Society for Testing and Materials is an association that tests a product. ASTM has a method that defined typically includes a concise description of an orderly procedure for determining a property or constituent of a material or a product. And not only that, it also conforms to all applicable CPSC Standards.

With all the quality insurance and features it can offer, the Delta LX Side by Side Stroller is no doubt a good catch. And all this great package is available for a reasonable price of $89.99 and free shipping on Amazon. It got a high satisfaction score of 4.4 out of 5 stars from over hundreds of parents’ experiences and you can take all their word for it!

Chicco Echo Twin Stroller

Chicco has been one of the major players in the field of children’s needs. They’ve provided consumers a considerable range of products: from basic developmental toys to high-tech educational gaming laptops. Somewhere in their line of children’s things are their reliable strollers. Adding to their line, an answer to parents who have more than one child to bring around the town is the Chicco Echo Twin Stroller, which, the name clearly states, caters to parents who have twins. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean only twins can use it. It’s a common problem for parents that they have kids who’re a year apart wherein the older child still requires a stroller, which is why the Chicco Echo Twin Stroller is also perfect for the job, being every bit as useful as its singular counterpart.

The Echo Twin Stroller is heaviest on the list for a weight of 34 pounds. It can be quite heavy for an umbrella stroller, but this is what you get from a high quality and durable stroller that assures you longevity of use. Despite its weight, it is still pretty compact and can fit into your car trunk without a hitch. It’s quite easy to fold and unfold which saves you time when you have too many things on your hands. The last thing you need is a stroller that just won’t open while you have a ton grocery bags on your hands.

The stroller’s embroidered seat pads and 5-Point safety harnesses make sure that your babies are comfortable and ready to roll, while the swiveling European wheel styling does not only give your stroller a sleeker appearance but also ensures mobility and ease of movement.

Although this does not fully recline flat, the seats have four reclining positions to suit your child’s preference and can recline to an almost full 180 degrees, I estimate around 140 to 160 degrees. While the leg rest can be adjusted to 2 positions as well to keep your kids comfortable while taking a nap. There is an adjustable and removable canopy as well, large enough to protect them from the elements.

Of course, the parents’ needs can never be overlooked, which is why the Chicco Echo Twin Stroller provides accessories that every parent will find incredibly useful. A nicely sized cup holder is perfect for holding a cup of coffee, or a bottle of water, or even the children’s bottle of formula. Also there’s a spacious storage basket which can be easily attached or removed from the stroller depending on the activity for the day. This will come in handy if you are planning on going shopping or just having a walk in the park. The storage basket will also save the parents from sore shoulders from carrying the baby’s things all day.

The Chicco Echo Twin Stroller is an economic answer to any parent’s stroller needs. It’s pretty compact, comfortable, and easy to use. The handles are also tall perfect for parents who are more than 6 ft. taller. It packs every bit of the Chicco Echo Stroller’s advantages and doubles it, making it absolutely great for families with more than one child. Parents will find that not only will their little ones be happy but them as well. Upon getting this, some assembly are required but it is going to be really easy to put together and ready to use for a day out with your cute little ones!

Costing less than $200, Chicco offers a bargain compared to the “heavyweights” which cost more than triple the price. Coming from a trusted brand, the Chicco Echo Twin Stroller is surely worth the investment for your children and one of the best double umbrella strollers. Chicco has been a parent’s best friend, pleasing families from all over the world and with this stroller around, you don’t have to worry because your toddlers are in good hands with its numerous features from significant convenience it brings to parents to the comfort and safety that our little kids need.
